Wow the Grand Canyon is beyond belief. My mind just can not imagine how large and vast this must be. Wonderful photo. The trees that are so small gives the canyon a different and more accurate perspective.

Terriamn, what a turtle adventure you have had. I hope Mr. or Ms Turtle appreciates your sacrifice.

Enjoy the quilt show all. Buy something just for you and enjoy all the stunning quilts made by quilters just like us.

I finished a UFO but it is not show worthy... but it is ready to keep someone warm who needs a hug and an snuggle. Off to the next UFO. I have a few that need my attention between boom swaps.

Janice I missed the post that you were headed to AZ. You can look at the canyon from many viewpoints and it is always an awe moment. Getting cold up there so will wait till spring to re-view it. Enjoy it all
Terri - just as your face is healing along comes the teeth. Hopefully all will work well. But first things first - quilting!! Let us know your favorite

Oh my gosh Terri, you just can't catch a break! I am a white knuckle case when it comes to dentist appointments and would just cry knowing I had to have that dental work done. On a happy note, enjoy the quilt show, how I wish that one day I could go to that show!

Great pictures Reba and Janice, enjoyed seeing them all. The Grand Canyon has been on my bucket list for years.

Reba, thank you for my two blocks! They are perfect!

The travel pictures shared are wonderful! There is so much beauty in nature and in art alike!

I've taken up baking bread again and tried a new to me recipe of Honey Oat Bread today. The kiddos eat the bread so fast, I'm making 3-4 loaves every two days! At least it's healthier and cheaper than store bought bread.

I made two more blocks, Snail Trail for Hav4boys and Rolling Stones for WMUTeach. I have three blocks left to sew for this Boom, so I feel like I did pretty good timing, all things considered. Is it wrong for me to be planning my next Boom fabric? 😁

Love both of your blocks, NZ! And I admire your breadmaking. Nothing yummier than home baked bread.

Thank you, NZ. The Rolling Stone block is one of my favorites. I just took photos of a whole quilt I gifted to a friend using that block and traditional R/W/B prints.

And bread, I love making bread but I don't make it unless I am going to a pot luck. I am limiting my bread consumption but warm Oatmeal Bread with a thin schemer of honey is a childhood memory of Grandma's weekly baking day. It was the inspiration to learn to make my own. It must be genetic because I think bread is easy peasy and the kneading is excellent exercise for the arms. Tee-Hee-Hee!

Janice incredible picture. Enjoy your trip.

Well my turtle rescue has come back to haunt me again. Have had a pretty nasty tooth ache the last couple weeks on the side of my face I slid down the hill on. Thankfullly it isn’t the implant but the 2 teeth next to it. I broke the one tooth right at the root and will need a root canal. If I a lucky otherwise it will be an extraction and another implant. The next tooth over is fractured also but it has a strong root and dentist is hoping it will be ok. So those two teeth have shifted and one has an abscess. The teeth and abscess are pushing on the implant and my sinus cavity. They wanted to take care of I tomorrow but said sorry off to the largest quilt show in the states. It will have to wait till next week. Calgon take me away
Oh My Goodness Terri. Enjoy the quilt show, but take care also. I would choose the quilt show too.

Reba those bow tie blocks are very cute. I don't think I have ever seen it done like that.

Oh, my! Is there anything that smells better than freshly baked bread, NZQ? Obviously your family knows a good thing when they see it. And more lovely blocks! And no, It’s not wrong to be planning your next boom. I hope for it.

Terriamn, the mouth problems are really just adding serious insult to injuries. As I think Cheese said, you cannot catch a break. I also took a tumble about 10 days ago. Ended up face down in the yard, tripping over the curb, not watching where I was going. My glasses were seriously tweaked, I have bruises on my knee and shoulder and scraped up my cheek. I immediately thought of you when I realized my cheek was bruised. It’s ok now but my pride was hurt. I’m thrilled it wasn’t worse.

So we’re in NM now. DH and I were about to star watch when he got whisked away by some serious astrophotographers to see what they were doing. Oh, well. It was too cold out anyway so I came in. Let’s face it, I was ditched for a bunch of guys in parkas and red lights on their heads! Lol

I’ve got a lead on a pup and we’re going to meet him next Thursday. He’s an old gent of 13 with some life left in him. He’s only 11 pounds. I don’t know his full story yet but DH and I fell for his face online and the fact that he really needs a home. His name is Ernie. He’s got skin issues but we can work on that. Ernie is so unexpected, I was sure we’d go for a young pitbull but we’ve fallen for this old gent instead. I hope it all works out! Pic below.

Ernie is adorable, what's not to love? What a lucky gent if he becomes a member of your family!
