Janice your picture of Ernie recalled pulled on my heart strings. He does look very similar to Rio especially with his lovely grey muzzle.

Ibex thanks for the fun show. Love all your blocks!

NZ glad you were able to get out and enjoy yourself today. Love the corn and tomato block, very fun.

Good early morning. I’ve got my coffee and internet and a book. DH and Ernie are still asleep and will be for the next couple of hours. I love this quiet time.

Ibex, the scarecrow is darling and NZQ, your corn and tomatoes block is perfect. AQ will have a wonderful quilt.

Had a Great Horned Owl talking up a storm last night. I use Merlin to help identify new bird calls. Great app. We knew it was an owl but didn’t know which one. Haven’t seen him yet. Owls are so elusive during the day.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

(blocks pulled to here)

Good morning everyone. I woke early to the pawing of my dear ZuZu cat begging me to to fill the empty food dish. Well, it is always empty in the morning and this demanding little darling was feeling the need to remind me of my pet parental duties. So I feed the cat and returned to bed with my laptop to do some browsing. I took a wander through the blocks that were created this fall and again was astonished at the skills and creativity of this group. I found one that I made I would like to toss out and try again but..... barely a scrap to be found. So, it is what it is. I am ready to take on my own set of block and am mentally considering how to join them into one quilt top that will shine in its turquoise and white glory. Again, to all thank you for the beauties you have created. It is inspiring.

WMUTeach, your ZuZu cat is beautiful! I sometimes feel the same way about a block or two I make for others but generally I release them once they’re done. Last Boom I did go back and change 1 or 2. This time I don’t think any needed alterations. Sometimes we’re very critical of our work, maybe too critical.

Nice to see ZuZu cat!

NZ that corn and tomatoes block is a winner! Her quilt will be so cute.

Went to my local charity quilting meeting this morning and gave this quilt. I believe it was the Merry Mayhem Mystery Quilt from last New Year’s Day?

Ibex, great blocks, the scarecrow is so cute.

Nzquilter, love the corn and tomato's block.

Janice, I mailed my package this morning, I sent an email with the tracking #. Your new puppy is the cutest, he is so blessed to have you and your husband.

My only comment about this political season is, I am glad the commercials are over. Some of the commercials were downright nasty to the other candidates. I am not a TV watcher, but I do watch the news in the morning before work. The commercials were exhausting.

What a lovely quilt to donate, SBG! I love the greens and the b/w.

I fixed the border on one of my donation quilts this morning and it held up well through the washing. I also washed several others so it’s time to pack them up and take them to Project Linus this coming week. Clearing out the sewing room.

Lstew, you aren’t the only one who is happy those commercials are over! We were without internet for 6 weeks so serendipitously we missed 99 percent of the vitriol. I’m glad for that.

We wore out Ernie. He’s passed out on one of his beds. (He’s got 4 now in various room.). He’ll sleep for a couple of hours until dinner then he’ll be down for the night. lol. He’s so easy! Thank goodness we didn’t get a puppy.

The package of packages was ready to go and sitting on the front seat of my car. I missed their closing time today and of course the PO will be closed on Monday in observance of Veteran's Day. So, Tuesday it will be.

Thank for the ZuZu comments. She is always so patient with me while I snap photos. I do have many.

If any of you are AARP members, I would highly recommend the Movies For Grown Ups that they screened last night,
The Girl Who Wore Freedom". It is a lovely and moving documentary about the people of France who experienced D-Day as children and who are now elderly. The passion that they have for connecting with the children and families of the soldiers who liberated their towns is amazingly heartfelt. They have passed these deep feelings to their children and grandchildren. Worth a watch. If you are a member you can go back and watch it again through AARP "On Demand". Available through February 7. Worth the time to view.

Ibex I love my block. Is much more complicated piecing than is in my wheelhouse. I love those type of blocks. Thanks.
