GramE- Pop tarts!! Great fabric choice - thank you. Who knew there was pop tart fabric’
Tradition of making pizza will be remembered by all.

Snorkeling- now I am envious. And my body would be in a hot tub!

I made an almond crumble cake for Bible study today. It’s been a very long time since I’ve used the recipe but it came out well.
Warm weather coming in so I will be taking time for vitamin D

All good, WMUT. And HAPPY DAY, that brings the F8s! There's still tons of time left for you to do whatever you want with them.
We all have been feeling bad that your package wasn't yet delivered.

GramE, hope the pain blocker works for you. And Friday pizza making! What a lovely tradition for your family. I bet they are yummy.

Anna, wish I could snorkel for 4 days! How much fun is that? Whenever I have snorkeled, I lost all track of time. The fish and sea life are so fascinating. And I second the hot tub idea too!

Seems (seams?) we all run into a block that just won't behave and go together nicely. Mine is the block for Michelle, the last I did before surgery. There's a corner that is shy nearly 1/4" so I'll be removing it and fixing, next time I sew.

I was looking at the gallery, and must say we have made some beautiful quilts as a group, all with their own personalities. Loved seeing Libster and Joan's work again.

Well, today there is hardly any pain in my elbow... none really. I haven't taken any of the OTC meds because they make my stomach feel terrible. I can do without them. Won't need the Rx pain med AT ALL. However, I woke up with the arm very swollen, so today will be the day I "ice" off and on all day. I'm procrastinating because it's so cold... hate to add the ice pack. But I will....
I'm babying a very sore throat, from the tube the anesthesiologist puts down your throat during surgery. Hate that. It's worse than the elbow pain.

Have a great day, everyone, and hang in there with the cold weather. Warmer weather is coming soon.

SBG, Glad you aren’t having much pain. I don’t relish the thought of my having the tube down my throat next month either.

AQ, lucky you! Four days of water and snorkeling! Snorkeling is my favorite pastime on vacations to warm, beachy climes. My worst sunburn of my life was on the backs of my thighs in St. John though. Greatest snorkeling of my life but that sunburn was something else. Next time, wetsuit even if the water is warm.

SBG, glad that any discomfort you are feeling is minimal.

Blocks today are for LStew, Terri and Hav4.

Cheese, love your blocks. I have another one almost finished for you. Ran out of steam yesterday haha.

Sewbiz- maybe could you ice it while sitting near the fire? When I had my knee replacement last year that's what I did because it's cold to have cold on!!! But as you know ice is needed for swelling. Glad the pain is minimal. I only took one or two oxys for pain. I hate that stuff but sometimes it's needed.

When Paul was really sick a few years back he had a ventilator for so long he had to relearn how to swallow. That was absolutely awful. He now says that was the worst part of his ordeal. So glad it's behind us. To be clear though, that was extreme, not what you and Janice went/ will go through.

I worked on a couple more blocks yesterday waiting for the ice to melt outside...

The first is for WMUTeach. I had something else in mind, but ended up "unsewing" some and adding the border. Lesson learned...pay more attention to how much fabric it's going to take to create a specific block before getting started.

The second is one for me. I wanted to try this particular block pattern. It's only supposed to be 3 colors, but I used a lot more. The result seems a bit busy...but I like it.
