Love the Christmas quilt! I just ordered some Christmas fabric while it was on clearance so I'll have it in the fall when the mood hits. Used up all I had on hand before moving.

I got my fabric picked out, cut and put in the mail. I'm going with a soft calico type print. The first picture shows it with the accent fabric I'm also sending. The second picture shows the other fabrics I've selected to go with for the parts I'm making to complete the quilt. I've selected a medallion style layout and the swap blocks will be used as an outer border. To complete is I need the 20 swap blocks, 4 at 6x12, 8 at 6x14, 4 at 14"square and one at 16" square. No idea what those blocks will look like yet, but I'm excited to get working on it. I included recommendations with the fabric for constructing the blocks.

Beautiful Christmas quilt, LC! I love it.

I should go to the dr., but honestly this is something I have had problems with for years. Of course I will have to get it checked out eventually, but I'm not feeling the rush. Maybe next week I'll start that ball rolling. Still waiting for my nerve test for my numb hand, LOL! It's always something....

NZ, everyone is different and you may never have problems, but stay aware of your scar area and any adhesion feeling that may develop there. I pray you never have an issue!

I wanted to share this picture of the blocks from the last swap I participated in. That swap wrapped up around May last year, and the blocks stayed in the shipping package until about a month ago. So when Janice says you don't have to worry about them getting scrunched up when folded into small bags, this is proof. I like to use the small snack size bags, and the blocks survived being packed into small baggies for over 6 months and pressed out fine.

This layout combines the 12" blocks from the swap with 10" blocks I made and sashed to 12". I still have one set of swap blocks to assemble.

Janice, I had to get a bubble mailer. I usually have many but ran out. Tomorrow the package goes out. So glad you got your machine all fixed up! I love my Juki as well. Such a great machine.
SBG- UGH I feel for you. Please get yourself checked out. Sending you a big HUG.
NZ- your longarm is awesome! So happy for you! And you are familiar with the "slows"- hmmm I'd say you have a better reason than I do though! All those kiddos- mine are gone so I can't blame them haha
Ladies who have shown quilts- I love them all !!!

Speaking of the "slows"- I almost didn't sign up but then I told myself how much fun it is and maybe I will get motivated. Well, that worked. I'm excited to start. Sometimes I just need to give myself a kick in the tush.
