Boom 34 Roses

Good morning, Roses! I’m looking forward to receiving your F8s. I need to be busier than I’ve been these last couple of months. I do so enjoy making your blocks.
Thanks for the comments about your children and grands. I see I’m not alone! It’s funny, when Chloe starts fussing, she won’t look at me or her grandfather because she knows she’ll get “the look”. lol. We’ll continue to do our part but unless her parents step up, they’ll have a mess on their hands.
SBG, how kind of you to make a memory bear for Terriamn’s friend. Hope you’ll share it when it’s done.
I’m off for a cuppa Joe. Have a great day.

My second dd went through the don’t tell Tyler no, explain to him why it’s a bad idea. Great for a child not for a toddler. Once when they were over I looked up and screamed no, right away my daughter angrily said Mom. Her husband rushed over and grabbed Tyler just as he was trying to stick a metal barret into the electrical socket. That stopped the “don’t say no”. His parents did everything for him, not a chance of growing up into a responsible person. He has had a rough time but at 30 is finally finding his way.
Having a weepy day but it’s my cleaning day and routine will be good

Terriamn, that was a scary moment! Luckily your grandson paused with your stern no!
There are four packages already on their way. I’ll get my spare room set up to receive them and begin sorting right away so turn around time will be short.
Ernie has been pestering us for 90 minutes. Turns out the “poor thing” was hungry and ready to eat hours before normal dinner time. Hope he doesn’t expect a second dinner later.
it’s only 78 here today but raining and dreary. We’ve got a little break now but it should start again. All this rain is depressing. Seems like it will never end.
Off to the sewing room.

Found the thread! My fabric is packed up but not yet ready to mail. Maybe by the end of tomorrow. I will try to upload a copy of the fabric from my new phone that I have no idea how to do things on. I may have to do it on my PC which is currently at work. I picked out a coastal themed fabric with pelicans, steamboats, shrimp, fish and blue crabs. The critters are pretty colorful and set on a let grey background with fleur di lis. You can make whatever you like. I am not needing a particular color so you can be totally free. I found it at a LQS in the New Orleans area. "Designed Excusively by Fabric Finders, Inc." I figured I could lift the picture from their website but it isn't there. You will have to wait to see it. Sorry.

Here are nelco’s patriotic fabrics below.
Ibex, your fabrics sound fun.
I spent an hour cutting out a block from my second set of fabrics, the green/blue combo. I like them better than I thought I would. I’ll post a pic when I finish sewing it tomorrow.
Off to get a good night’s sleep.

I finally got my mojo back. Sewing together the blocks and it felt so good! Another patriotic! And beach/sea!! Love the variety.
I see the country’s weather but this group brings it to life. Floods in one part, drought in another. We are all facing bazaar weather. So stay safe.

Ibex, your fabric sounds so wonderful. Can't wait to see it.
Nelco, I love patriotic fabrics too.
Well, I did a brilliant move today! I have had my swap fabric ready to go for days, then had to change packaging when I decided to do two sets. Then I needed to go to town to break a $20 so I had the right money for Janice. Finally everything was all together and I went to Pirate Ship to print my label. Stuck it on and took the package to the P.O..... where the clerk informed me my package had a UPS label on it and they were USPS. How embarrassing! So I had to bring it home, void out the label at Pirate Ship, and buy a USPS label. Now it is finally ready to go and will get put in the mailbox in the morning.
Hey, I used an 11.5 x 15 Tyvek envelope to mail my two sets, and the postage for the two sets combined was only about $8.50! Less than flat rate! So check out those big Tyvek envelopes.... You can pick them up at the post office, or order them online for free with free delivery from USPS.com
