Sewbiz thanks for the update on the large Tyvek envelopes, good to know.
Costal fabric, how fun and patriotic!
It’s a glorious 65 degrees here but don’t be jealous we still have the nasty air warnings from the wildfires here.
Yesterday I was frog stitching on my quilting of Winnie the Pooh andhope to get quilting on it again today. Then the sewing room is calling out to be throughly picked up, was auditioning backs for some of the older boom quilt tops and they sitting out so as not to put other projects ahead of them. Well that isn’t happening!
Hope everyone has a lovely day

Hey, I used an 11.5 x 15 Tyvek envelope to mail my two sets, and the postage for the two sets combined was only about $8.50! Less than flat rate! So check out those big Tyvek envelopes.... You can pick them up at the post office, or order them online for free with free delivery from USPS.com[/QUOTE]
This is good news indeed. Time to get Pirate Ship, too.
I do love all the fabrics posted and I have started thinking about what kind of blocks I can put together. There are a few blocks I've been wanting to try to make so I better get those organized so I can jump right in as soon as the fabric arrives. I am teaching a new course this semester, Urban Geography, that I am looking forward to doing. I think the final exam will be identifying the skyscapes of the cities we covered in class. I want this to be a virtual trip around the world class. See, everything can be turned into a conversation about quilts :-).

Thank you, SBG. I encourage everyone to use Pirate Ship. If you prefer the Tyvek envelopes, I can use those but you will need to send me a prepaid label to use. It is less expensive but cost varies for each person, which makes it impossible to accurately prepay for shipping. Those close to me spend less than those across the country. You値l also need to know the weight of your package but that can be done with a postal scale or a kitchen scale if you have one. Check out Pirate Ship to save some money.
Ibex, love that fabric! Now what block can I make with it???
It looks like no rain until tonight but only cloudy conditions. I値l take that over our daily downpours. It痴 so depressing.
I知 off to do some piecing. That値l perk me up!

Great block Janice, it turned out beautiful!
We have had historic flooding in our area here in Wisconsin. We received over 10" of rain in about 12 hours. We were fortunate that our basement didn't flood but we had ponding in our yard. Had another inch of rain this morning with the possibility of more showers later today, hopefully things should begin to dry out tomorrow. Many other areas received 14+ inches of rain, so many flooded homes and basements, it's sad to see how this has impacted so many lives.
I have made a couple of blocks with my fabric, will post pictures when the sun returns.
Such fun fabric Ibex, love the theme!

Beautiful block, Janice!
Ibex, love your whimsical fabric!
Sewbiz- great tips on those other envelopes. I already shipped mine but will keep that in mind for the next time. You saved a bunch!

I am subscribed to Bonnie Hunter's daily posting and today's final photo and words of wisdom reminded me of our Squirrels group.
Wondering if I have ducks or squirrels....most likely squirrels. And you? Tee-Hee-Hee
