Boom 34 Roses

I like both of your blocks, Janice, but my favorite is the green. I like the green and blue together.
TG, I love both of your blocks! I love the golden orangy/turquoise/aqua. Your star looks amazing. I might have to try a square this week, now that the swallows have moved out of my head! Hubby has carpel tunnel surgery tomorrow, not something old men get, but he can’t play his guitar. I’m hoping it works for him. He’s concerned because the doc is restricting his driving.

Love that beautiful block, GramE. Looks like origami birds circling.
Pretty blocks by TG!
GramE, hope your hubby's surgery goes well and the recovery is short.
I had cubital tunnel surgery (elbow) back in Feb. and I'm still waiting for the nerve to heal. Still got two numb fingers.

Good afternoon. The sun is shining for now and my houseplants are happy.
Our first package arrived. Thank you Lstew. More are on the way.
Enjoy your time with your family this coming weekend, Lstew.
Tg, love your first blocks. The star block is right up my alley. Love the stars!
GramE, hope your husband’s surgery goes smoothly and he heals quickly.

Before we turned into "Roses" I kept posting about working on finishing a 2+ year-old UFO and today I finished the top. It still needs a good final press after I stitch around the edge to keep the seams from opening. Then off it will go to be quilted.
The photo is dark because the sun is setting. I am sure I will post again with better light when it is finished. The quilt is "Harrisonburg". Wendy Shepphard redesigned an antique quilt from the Virginia Quilt Museum's collection and published the pattern as a fund raiser for the museum. Pat Sloan featured it on her postings two years ago and did several videos from the VQM to help promote both the museum and the pattern. (Finished at 78X93)

I have tried to post several times and when I hit post it disappears. This will be my last try tonight
Ltsew Have a great gal weekend
GramE your block is stunning! Good luck to your hubby on his carpal tunnel surgery. Years and years ago I had it done and it was a huge relief from pain for me.
TG both blocks are fabulous love your fabric choices
Michelle hope to see you in the next boom, stop by and say hello
WMUT I love Harrisburg it is a qui,t that makes you smile.
Today I sat outside on the patio and sewed my binding down for about 3 hours. Told hubby it wasn’t raining, too hot or too cold, no bugs, low humidity and a gentle breeze perfect day to enjoy Mother Nature and work on my quilt also.

WMUTeach, your Harrisonburg quilt is beautiful. The soft colors perfectly complement each other.
Terriamn, I’m glad you persevered and got your post in. There’s something calming putting the time in hand binding. Sounds like you had the perfect conditions for it.
I haven’t mentioned on this thread yet to try to keep your block pic size to 100 to 200 kb. It saves me a lot of time if everyone does their own. I need the smaller pix to post to the gallery or it doesn’t load properly. So please, if you are unfamiliar with shrinking your photos, please search it online for your device. Btw, the small pic size only applies to the block pix, not all the other pix you post that I don’t move to the gallery. Thank you!
Looking forward to more F8s arriving soon. Lstew’s Thanksgiving fabric has lovely autumn colors. It’ll be fun to work with.
Tomorrow, Roses.

Good afternoon, Roses. I see sun! Be still my heart.
Soooo…I swear I couldn’t help it. I had to make a block from one of Lstew’s turkey fabrics. I got up at 6am and started on it, feeling just slightly guilty that you all don’t have the fabrics yet and I do. But what’s a quilter to do when the compulsion comes over said quilter? Give in, I say. Give in. So I did. The block is below and it was so much fun to work with those little guys. So here you go, Lstew.

Janice - you earned the right to play early. Love the block - I see all those turkeys gabbing with each other about each other around the table - my mind takes me places no one dares to go!
GramE - how is hubby doing - won't be long and he will be making music again.
WMUTeach - great finish. It is certainly a work of art and love.
