WMUTeach and SusieQ, great blocks! I like be coming here and seeing your handiwork.
WMUTeach, I need to look up the virtual quilting weekend thread some time. We have several local farmers markets. They always have the freshest veggies and fruits.
SBG, love the little girl and her pup. Glad you like the block.
Here’s my last block for today. It’s my last set one block and it’s for Nelco. The block is busy so I’m not 100 percent pleased with it. I did enjoy making it and it came together easily. Hope you like it Nelco.
Have a good evening.

Looking at block parterns today on Etsy and decided I was not paying $5-$6 dollars a pattern. I pulled out my laptop, started up EQ8 and made paper piecing patterns for some Christmas blocks. These two are for Cheesehead. Noticed my tree is a bit crooked but so is my real tree each year.
I was going through the fabric and reading requests. Got to Janice's blue fabric and had a good laugh. Ignore directional fabric. No-can-do. I wish I could.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all.
Hav, I can see how the pattern $ could add up. Our tree always leans too, even our little tabletop tree. cute blocks. As for the directional fabric, if you can’t ignore it, go for it. I didn’t realize it was directional until I started working with it. I just loved the blue and white.
Here’s one for MJP. Hope it’ll work for you.

This block is stunning, That blue just pops.
GramE, I can totally relate on the thermostats
Susieq we must be sharing the same karma, I sewed the flip side of one side of fabric, turned my fabric so the fussy cutting was going the wrong way when I sewed it and reversed sewing on a couple triangles. Decided to put everything away for another time
Janice and HAV love your blocks

Beautiful blocks
Beautiful blocks to TG
TG, we have a standing menu for at least 3 days. I was tired of straining that one brain cell I have working some days just to plan supper. Fridays we have homemade pizza, Saturday scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and once a month we add biscuits and gravy to that. Then Monday we usually have a sandwich and fries. I figure I can decide on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday by what’s leftover from the other days. It is a challenge 7 days a week!
Great block
SBG, These are lovely blocks.
I belive that the red is LStew[/QUOTE] Yes, it is for me.
Good morning, Roses. It’s cool but humid, a good day to sew. So here is one for SBG. I hope the green works for you and the use of a small piece of your second F8. I had to use the little girl in red. So cute. The green is actually darker than it shows under the bright light.
I have only one more left in my first set. Maybe I’ll decide on a pattern and sew it up later.
Does anyone have any fun plans this weekend? We’re free to do nothing if we choose. No errands, appointments or shopping needed. Woo hoo.

Janice asked about weekend plans, well mine is participating in the Virtual Quilt Weekend here on the QB. A good way for me to focus and get some projects done and out of the way. I also went to the farmer's market for the first picking of grapes, my favorite and some peaches that are nearly gone for the season. Lovely cool day at 61 degrees but next week the forecast is to return to normal temps of upper 70's to low 80's.
Here are my first three blocks. One particularly does not look square, but.... all are square. I am a quilter not a photographer.
Returning to my sewing room to make a couple more blocks today and to eat grapes. Tee-Hee-Hee

Janice, it may be a bit busy but I think it's really nice and I bet the recipient will agree. I'm thinking the same with my block for Sewbiz. Some fabrics are just a little more challenging but that's part of the fun. I'm rocking those 12.5 inch seams!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the tips.

What pretty blocks, Janice, SusieQ and WMUT! I love my Norman Rockwell block, Susie! Thank you.
I've been making blocks yesterday and today. Now my mojo is coming back! We are getting back into the swing of block making, I think. So many pretty blocks are here everytime I check.
Have fun!

lol, SusieQ! You’re rocking the seams? Woo hoo for you!
Sometimes I just love a block and sometimes I don’t. I’m more critical of my own work.

Here is my last for the day, one for Hav4Boys, Potatoes with butter! Ok, I admit it is one of my favorite side dishes. I can easily make potatoes my main dish but it is not the healthiest choice, I know. None the less, I love them. Hope it will pair up with all of your other fruits and veggie potholders. Wink, Wink!
Janice, the VQW is often the second weekend of the month, but now and again it will be shifted to fit around holidays. I will try to remember to mention it in October when it is posted.
