Goodness, those triangles are tiny, I can't imagine trying to sew something so small.Originally Posted by terriamn
This was a miniature, between 12”and18” square. Check out all those itty bitty triangles. The miniatures were amazing

Terri, what an awesome lobster quilt! I take it you are at the Quilt Museum in Paducah? The miniatures are amazing too. I can't imagine making those tiny points. Be sure you visit Hancocks if you are in Paducah. The sandwiches at Kirshener's Bakery are not to be missed, either. Safe driving home!
Today I'm going to try to lay out my BurgSur top and sandwich it on the king sized bed upstairs. I'm really intimidated! I've never quilted a quilt that big. Wish me luck!

Here’s my block for MJP. It’s my version of a Cat’s Cradle. I hope it will work for you. I had a lot of fun making it and despite all the small triangles, it ended up nearly perfect in size. I’m pleased. The pic is darker than reality. Two more blocks to go! Having a lot of fun this round.

Hav - this reminded me of butterfly antennae
Lstew - this used up the last of this cherished polka dot. Hope you like it as much as I do
MJP - a (somewhat modified) ribbon star for your christmas gift.

Here's a basket block for you to fill with love when it is gifted as a charity quilt.
I loved how it came together so you can bet you'll be seeing other baskets too
.
We finally got rain in Western Kentucky, which was desperately needed. About 1.25" but we are sooooo behind it will take a month of Sundays to catch up. The lake water won't be very warm for the holidays coming up if we keep having 65 degree days.

Finally got one finished. Boy, oh boy does it feel good. I found a flipped seam and will correct that this evening or first thing tomorrow morning. Here you go SBG.
And thank you to Moon, SBG and Terriamn, Loving the choices you made for my fabric choice.

LOVE my beautiful two new blocks, WMUT and LAF! Thank you much!
Moon, very pretty basket. Love the colors!
I got some of the Burgoyne Sur. quilted today. I wasn't sure about it, but now I'm starting to get really excited, the more it looks like a quilt! I ought to have my head examined, tho, for attempting the quilting on my sitdown longarm. I should have begged one of my friends to let me quilt it on their longarm frame. It's a wrestling match to schlep this huge quilt sandwich around on my table. But... I'll get it done. It will be the summer quilt on our newly acquired king size bed.

LAF and WMUt beautiful blocks for Sewbiz, her fabric is looking elegant in all the blocks.
Moon what a fun basket for Ltsew.
Sewbiz good to hear you are making progress on your monster size quilt
Today I get paid back for all hubby’s patience at visiting the quilting shops. We are touring the National Navy museum. Oh boy I can hardly wait.
Have a great day
