oh thank you so much there is this tiny dot on the finger scrap of Abbys fabric.. it looks red to me. phew. oh so glad I asked.

fabric I have yet to receive:
    nancia
    tam moo
    1000 projects
    areinn
    daisy
    linda58
    marcialee

if you have sent me some and I dont have it PM and let me know what it looked like and I will do a double check. off to sew on abbys moms have a great day everyone and once again thank you for answering that question. Still want to know what the heck a grown up block is... adults? is a block for children a kids block? you got me. I never thought of blocks other than as blocks.. stumped guys. I mean some of these fabrics ie frogs.. is going in a kings size quilt unless that is one big little kid I think its an adults quilt.. so its not based on the fabrics. Who made up this term anyways? please post a list of all new terms and meanings ok? I am slower than molasses some times. Curiosity may have killed the cat but it ain't going to get me.

Linda, a grown up block is a F8 that grew up... into a block~ in other words it is just a block heading home after arriving as a piece of fabric! I don't know who coined the phrase but, it took me a little while to figure out what it meant also. I am so glad you got a new machine, I imagine it is really fun to learn all of it's secrets... Do you name your machines? Mine are all named! At first hubby didn't get it but now he understand which one I am talking about, but honestly I name everything, I don't know how it got started, I think when my Mom used to name her cars!

I have taken some time off from sewing also, I was not up to par and my sewing showed it! Today I am finishing some Aprons, meeting with one of my clients who I mend for... I hate mending but it helps finance my way to Seattle!
I am going next month for a week! Did I tell you I am going to babysit my Granddaughter for a week while my daughter takes a class with my sister... Some kind of patient care class! I am just so darn excited to be watching the little darling... that was a great idea you had!

off to run, good thing i love the view up here it would get boring real fast. Very nice blocks going home.

I did but had the same problem. I did the best I could do. It seems I hit most that run out of fabric and then send me smoething that is supposed to go with the fabric that they ran out. This is hard quilters. I am sweating it and hope my blocks go with your main fabric. I really tried hard. Hopefully I post pictures soon and then you can see what I came up with.

there is still tomorrow to see what the postman brings me. BUT I leave for New England on Wed. So I will take the squares with me that I have and will mail them out to you all from New Hampshire. So any squares that come into my home while I am gone I will have to wait until I return on the 27th. Now I have my son who has been good about keeping me posted on what comes in although he sometimes he goofs up on that but... hey he tries. The sad part is I will have to wait until I return to see my grown up blocks but then on the other side of the coin...it will be fun coming home to all those squishies to open. I will still be able to get on my computer once in a while in NH so I will try to keep up with all of you.
