I have enjoyed just completing one block at a time. So much easier than a large project. And so satisfiying to be able to complete a project or two in a day! Take your time and enjoy the journey!

Yea I'm a perfectionist worry wort.. drives me nuts.. keeps me up at night.. as do "wonder what that would look like"... Well I should say it keeps me up when I want to SLEEEP.. I don't usually go to bed til on average, about 4-6am. I get some of my best sewing done between 1-4am. Last night that was when I cut out the pieces for a table runner for my october secret pal.. or maybe november. Keep forgetting november exists. hehe. and I made a leaf coaster. I was going to get up and cut out immemother's pieces but the kitties took over the cutting board and since they like to race around at 5am, I figured if they just went to sleep at 4am I would leave them alone so I could sleep so I did.

I have AhA moments, I also keep a graph paper notebook around and draw out block ideas, either ones I see and want to do without buying the pattern (if I can discern it from the picture), or just something that pops in my head. Spent yesterday getting amazing tips from Sharon Schambers videos. Feeling much more confident about finishing 2 of these blocks but have to go out and about today so they'll have to wait for late night sewing.

Doesn't sound like she's going to have a fun birthday but maybe I'll send her a cupcake to cheer her up

Wow, I hate math..I do it when necessary, but hate it. I know it's not a race, but I too work to achieve perfection and want it all done yesterday..what does that tell ya. I have mailed out three blocks so I'm not a total loser.
This is my first swap too. I have been sending their fabric back. Maybe i should start to keep it. I belonged to another group on line, but we didn't have many members to swap with. So bear with me you guys, 16 is a LOT of blocks to make. However, I am so looking forward to receiving blocks back, so much fun. I am on the Oregon coast right now, I will see what I can find in purple and turquoise...April, I am so glad you are home, please take care of yourself.
Hugs to all. Ctmhjenn.....means, close to my heart Jennifer...my daughter and only child.

So.. no crying over math this week, I am back up to sitting at a B.. I did well on the assignment and test. *sigh* whew.. let's hope I can keep doing so and end this with my A.. heheh

Yea ctmhjenn I also want everything done yesterday.. I also don't like to waste, so I want to jump right into the idea in my head but have no idea how to get there so I hate to waste the time and materials with "practice" and beginner steps to get where I want.. Which is whyyyyy.... I haven't gotten anywhere with my knitting and crocheting

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I am back, finally. So tired I could cry at times, internet is now making dial up aol original sound pretty darn good.. 11 mbps speed. which I think is not a literal speed. Can you crawl and say its a speed I wonder? snails move faster sure of it.

That said I received some lovely blocks which I am finally getting around with apologies for not posting the last couple of days honestly I just.. couldnt. BUT I am happy and back, and sewing again two blocks today whoopee! and thank you everyone for your kindness and support. I am always amazed how lucky I am. You guys are as the kids say.. the bomb. I love this group.

mushy doesnt happen often so take it while you can. That mouse in the cage with the cats way too funny and the big fat cat oh my.. and that cupcake.. think maybe themommahauser stole it or perhaps ANASTASIA ACCIDENTALLY ate it.. while studying of course..

oh and I think crocheting is simple. i just cant master it. At all. Lovely tube scarves and that is is. I am dying to learn how to make crochetted rosettes for my sweaters.. cant figure out how to read that pattern .. so.. maybe I will buy them.. sigh..then I have time to learn how to quilt lol.
