Oh oh oh... I almost forgot (yes that was the pain of my brain thinking) ...

We all start somewhere. We do this swap in the SPIRIT of friendship. We know and accept this might be the first swap you have ever participated in and it might be the first time you have shared a block with someone outside of your household. Your eyesight might not be the best anymore but you still want to swap. You might have issues cutting or sewing but know your heart and soul needs this time or you'll just burst. For this we are honored to accept your blocks.

You don't have to feel any pressure to make some fancy dancy paper pieced 900 point star (mmmm at least not this time ). Please make a block you would be proud to have made for you. I'm just as thrilled to get a churndash block that is chock full of 1/4" seams laying nice and neat as I am to get a more advanced block.

If your comfort level is a 9 patch or a friendship star or heck some English paper piecing concoction , go for it and own it! We're here to have fun and to share our quilty nuttiness.

AnnaQuilts - I tried to reply to your PM, but it says your inbox is full. I don't think I posted a photo of all of my Boom 13 oriental fabric blocks together, but I'll try to do that shortly.

Sitting on the fence about doing Boom 16. I *really* don't NEED to, as I've got literally HUNDREDS of swap blocks sitting here waiting to be made into quilts. As in: all the way back to Boom 3, plus dozens of other swaps from here and elsewhere! But I enjoy piecing more than quilting. What can I say ... I guess I'm a "block collector". LOL!

I'll decide ASAP and will let y'all know.

Okay, here's all of my Boom 13 blocks together. I had a bunch of oriental-themed F8s from an F8 swap here on the board, and I was low on "play money" at the time, so rather than go fabric shopping, I used the F8s for the Boom swap.

The blocks are brighter in person, and many have gold metallic accents that don't show up. It's dark here, so my pictures aren't all that great. In no particular order ...

Well, the fence-sitting didn't last long. I looked in my cabinet to see what fabrics I already have, and something jumped right out at me. I'd bought it awhile back, and promptly forgot about having it. Off to toss it in the washing machine. PM sent to the hostess.

These blocks are from my first two swaps, 9 and 10, I think.

Molly and Moon your blocks looks wonderful

I have 16 cut from 8 different fat quarters. I don't have many fat quarters, my stash is regular 1/4 yards and yardage.

Beautiful! I never tire of the red, white and blue. What a gorgeous quilt.

good grief my adult dd's are trying to show their love and concern for me about my foot. One runs marathon's and running is her passion. She doesn't think the diagnosis is correct of either of the two specialist I have seen. Second dd is extremely conscious of back to basic nutrition and movement. She is going ballistic on 5 weeks of limited activity and how badly that will affect my body. They have sent me pictures of differnt yoga moves to help the Plantar Fasciitis. If I got on the floor and tried those exercises they would probably kill me. Way to advance for a maturing portly lady who's passion is sitting at a sewing machine
My husband had plantar fasciitis a few years ago, and was in tons of pain. He was miserable. He couldn't miss work, though. He managed to arrange with a physical therapist to meet him as he was on his way home from work, which, for him, is 7am. He said it really, really helped even though some of it wasn't exactly "fun". He was also given a special "boot" to sleep in, and needle-less injections in his foot, both of which also helped a lot. (Not sure exactly how those worked, but he didn't mention that it was painful.) He even had "homework" to do ... exercises to do at home. It took several weeks to get completely better, but eventually it did. Now, if he feels it starting to act up, he'll do the exercises he was taught, and so far he's managed to keep it under control. Nearly all the exercises can be done while sitting or laying on the bed. Maybe ask your doctor if those might help you. I sure couldn't get on the floor and do yoga exercises either! Hope you feel better soon!
