Dear Jane Christmas Block Swap - Closed

Oh, you are getting to go on a retreat already!!!! I'm sooooooooooo jealous. I've never been to one, I guess that's why I'm so bent on getting one together.
It would be fun to plan, perhaps get a class or two going...we've got so many talented folks, I'm sure we can get something together. The only thing that would be missing is vendors to sell fabric and fun things like that!

wanna hear OCD crazy. when i met my DH he owned a house and i wouldn't marry him or live with him because to many things in the house were not to my liking.
one light in the ceiling wasn't centered, the kitchen dishwasher and sink weren't placed properly, the masterbath wasn't designed correctly.
i would walk into his house and get so annoyed and tell him "how can you live like this - everything is off center and poorly designed". it got to the point that i couldn't even sleep over.
we spent the last year of our dating in my NYC condo because i refused to go to the house.
needless to say, we dated for 8 years and finally he said go pick out the house you want because i'm never going to be able to fix this one to your liking.

I think that was just clever Klue, maybe I should tell my DH I have OCD and see what I get :-)
Well I would probably just get a smack to the back of the head
I would also say that makes your DH a REAL KEEPER!!!

Samples of my 4 blocks. I am anxious to get your feedback.
The 4 together on one photo and 2 shown separately. The 2 others next post.

This is my first attempt to paper piece. I am impressed at the percision you can get from paper piecing.

This one was strip pieced. The easiest of the lot.

These are the 4 blocks I chose.

My other 2 blocks.
I strip pieced the 9 patch center and traditional pieced the HST. This was before I tried my hand at paper piecing.

I strip pieced the 9 patch sections. 41 pieces each block. 738 pieces for the lot. This photo appears over enhanced. The solid color is a cream on cream and does not have lines in it.
