Dear Jane Christmas Block Swap - Closed
#1472
I haven't posted lately, but I will have my blocks done on time. My DH had an accident (cut his leg with a chain saw) and has been laid up for 2 1/2 weeks. He is doing well and can now walk but not bend his leg. But at least he can get a snack or glass of water by himself. He is a workaholic and is so bored, he is going crazy and taking me with him. Great to be back at my machine.

Wow, what a scary thing! I hope he gets better and more mobile soon. I know how men can be when they are ill or injured...challenging to say the least. Glad you're back at the machine...post your blocks so we can see them when you make some progress!

ok here's a handout on how i paper piece. its DJ L4.
i think it might be easier for people to follow along with this block because it doesn't have triangles.

I've got to say that looking at the pictures of some of these triangles is scaring the bejaysus out of me. Some of the harder Jane blocks are scary-looking enough, but I figure I'll be able to manage most of them - I can hand-piece the really fiddly bits if necessary, but the triangles - wow! All I can say is I hope that after all the practice at doing the Jane blocks in the Cyber Block Party (that's what we're calling it, right?), the triangles won't look so intimidating any more!
