don't forget i send you back one of the blocks too. so then you'll have 2 from each set that you make.

not that there's anything wrong with that, i just didn't know if you knew.

Wow! Everyone is chugging right along! They all looks so nice! I'm really excited to see them all together! These blocks are my naptime project this weekend so I'm hoping to make some progress and get a sample block up here soon. This is so much fun!

Okay, guess I won't need to make 19. However, if there are more than 18 people participating, will you still do that? Then we might miss out on a block we haven't seen!!

the way its set up now, everyone sends in 18 blocks, then 17 blocks are given out and 1 is retained to go back to the original maker of the block.

so everyone in the swap will get 17 different blocks and 1 of their own blocks back.

we have 20 people in the swap right now so that means 3 people will not get that specific block.

if people are making 2 sets of 18 blocks they will receive 36 blocks back, 1 from each set they sent in plus 34 other blocks.

right now we only have 28 blocks selection so i'll have to send these people doubles unless we get some more people into the swap or more people doing 2 sets.

the only way to insure everyone gets 1 of each block is to close the swap to new people on a certain date. then we could say ok we have X people in the swap make that many blocks.

this method limits new people coming in new month, for example, and it delays people working on the blocks early because we don't have a firm number.

i think the best way to insure you get 1 of every block being made is to commit to doing 2 sets - that should cover it.

i don't want you to feel pressured to do 2 sets because we might get a few more people interested in the swap.

if you'd like to do 2 by all means i'll put you down for it - if you'd like to hold off before deciding thats ok too.

just let me know either way - really its no pressure.
