Wow! Up to 30! We are going to have some great DJ runners, throws and possibly quilts out there!!
Great work ladies!
I have my fabric washed and ready to be cut. Just have to get a couple others things done first! Hopefully will get them made next week!

I've mailed my D-13 blocks - Field of Dreams. The picture's colors are not good - they are actually BURGUNDY & FOREST GREEN.

Earlier, I attributed the freezer paper method of paper piecing to the WRONG person - Judy Matthieson who does fantastic Mariner's Compass Quilts originated this method. There's a tutorial on this site:

http://www.twiddletails.com/store/in...age=page&id=21

The only differences in the way I do it: I actually make templates of each piece - less waste of fabric. If the fabric doesn't want to stick to the freezer paper, I pin piece #1.

here's my L5 Block.

i did it by paper piecing. i've taken a pic of the back so you can see that the type of paper i use doesn't leave one scrap of paper behind.

it removes with 100% ease without any fear of taking out any of the stitiches.

another plus side to this paper is its translucent so you can see right thru it and you know everything thats going on underneath.

i buy it from this website

L5 Front

L5 Back - not one scrap of paper to tweeze.

Paper Foundation, see how easy it is to see the lines on my mat.

Hi Klue,
I am wondering if there is still time to join the DJ Christmas exchange. I missed this whole thing as we were camping for about 10 days and only been home this week. I've not been online hardly at all. Please let me know if there is still time. I have the book and will choose my blocks if there is.

KLue hasn't posted yet, but I know she'll tell you that it's NOT too late. Pick a block and send it to her, and she'll add you to the list. Look up a few posts and you'll see the latest list of who's making what!! I think the deadline is in October....

Didn't want to speak for KLue, but didn't want to leave you waiting anymore in case you wanted to sew right now!!!!
