its very difficult to sew curves let alone on this size scale. when i was during the 4 inch NY Beauties for my IRR center i wanted to shoot myself.

Umm- wouldn't that work out better if she put them on a 5-1/2 inch square - once it's cut and sewn together, she'll lose half an inch????

It sounds like she's almost there.

That can be SOOO frustrating when one can't fiqure out where the glitch is.

I haven't tried that one yet - looks like it might be a hard one.

curves that tight are very difficult. i had to do 8 of them for my IRR center and they were NY Beauties so it was 4 curves for each block and then 8 blocks.

i really did want to shoot myself for making them 4 inches

Maybe even make the background 6 inches square - make the circle according to the templates - it's eqsy enough to trim away the excess???

i think she's off trying to piece the curves - i think she really wants to nail curve piecing because she just took a class on it.

Also, I can't put it on a plain square. I'll have to make some 4-square pieced to do it properly. I see I messed up with the background and was using one fabric, when really it's a combo!!

if you want to applique it you can put it on a solid background because you would cut that block into 4 sections.

so you would make half (9) with a red background and a cream circle and then the other 9 would be cream background with a red circle.

cut all of those blocks into 4 sections and mix them together 2 of each type per block.

I'm sure you'll get it figured out.

Those learning curves sometimes are - - - not much fun! :?

I'm going to work on this tomorrow gang. I'm still recovering from pneumonia and I find myself incredibly exhausted with minimal efforts. So, it's off to bed, if I can get the kids settled and quiet.

    :  'gnight all!
