Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas. I am on the downhill run now with family arriving tomorrow. This evening I iced the Christmas cake and gingerbread. This is the first time I have ever made gingerbread, it is for the benefit of my little grandsons but I guess everyone will enjoy it. Last night I made a Santa mat for the little ones to leave cookies and milk for Santa on.

Default December Fabric Postcard

This is the birthday card I got from Owlvamp. I just love twisters. What a clever card.

Firstly, my dear wife (JuneBillie) and K-roll were partners for this swap but conspired
to make me the recipient due to my Christmas birthday.

They apparently exchanged detailed information because the results were wonderful!

Here are the fruits of this thoughtful plotting.

The note card on the left showcases some historic victorian homes. The pottery is impressive and the inside bowl has a colorful acrylic crackle look. The birthday candles (wheee!) are made from pure palm wax by a company that engages in renewable environmental practices. and the postcard.... well, for some perspective on the inclusion of the trombones, I used to be a professional trombone player.
One of my absolute favorites was Jack Teagarden(great vocals, great instrumentalist) and the first book of transcribed jazz trombone solos I purchased in 1987 or so also featured Kid Ory!

So, THANK YOU, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and may all be well now and in the year to come.

Thank you both for a very nice, thoughtful, wonderful birthday present package!

Hi everyone,
I have been having some computer trouble with my laptop.
K-roll I am so glad you liked the post card I made for you. I really enjoyed working on that post card. It really was 3-D. i had it finished so nicely when it was mailed, but i noticed the pic showed a couple of strings on top, so I guess it's long journey did some shaking around. lol.....Hopefully Carol you can pull those pesky things off. I did do some intentional pulling of some threads to give a shabby sheik thread art type fabric art cake. I just had to play around a bit. I have my fun that way. The candles were also intentionally wonky with little gold beads for flames and in the light they do sparkle like little flames>he he

Merry Christmas
Happy New Year

Aw CharliesDad/JuneBillie, very happy you liked it all, and very serendipitous that you liked your musical company!
I listened to some Jack Teagarden on youtube --- was hard to choose a tune they're all so beautiful. Figured 'Stardust' fit the season.
JuneBillie I didn't notice the threads until you mentioned them - all trimmed now, thanks again, I guess I was dazzled.
happy New Year everyone...! Finally feeling well/rested enough to take up my usual activiities. Onward to 2017.
