I personally like the mixture of red and white in the same fabric. I think it adds interest to the quilt that otherwise might be boring with just solid reds and white. I'm okay with the white on white , the solid white and the silver on white. Even if it has a little of another color in it like black.

I love the red and white. I have nine assorted yards of similar fabric. I vote yes to the tone on tone also.

Oops, I better sign up first before I vote.

I would love to join this swap! The tutorial seems easy enough but I am sure I will have some questions as I go along.

I think I had better be safe and just make two sets.

    Thanks for letting me join!

So it is okay to use red prints for the red colored fabric?

Well so busy with others I think I will sit this one out and try to get the November ones together instead of making more. I really like the block and colors though.

Jane's example block looks great! The predominantly red 'reds' look very well together. I like only 2 red prints in the block. I think it's nicer than how the tutorial shows-- where she mixed up prints from several original blocks.

Is it okay to have blocks that are different in the same set. What I mean is that I have several red fabrics that I can mix and match but I am worried that I don't have enough to do more than a couple of blocks. So if I need to go shopping (twist my arm LOL) I will

I am going to do a practice one this weekend!

    Hi Lizzy, welcome :-)

Yes the scrappier the better you can make every block different. The set requirement in this swap is more so the hostesses dosen't get 24 of the exact same blocks and so it's easier to sort and send back out.

Oooops maybe I better officially sign up now haha

Was there an official decision on Billi's fabric? I have similar fabric so if the red/white is ok, I'm signing up.
