Neat fabric! The center block reminds me of rain on a window.

chickadee,

LOVE your fabrics! My stash is looking less and less fall-ish because I realized it was really heavy there. Now I've bought so many great spring/summer fabrics that I just don't know which way to turn! I'm getting so confused! And signed up for so many things, I am about to go out of my mind!

DH wants me to clean the house.....what the **** is THAT supposed to mean???? When he married me, he knew I DON'T do CLEANING!

I guess some NSR* is in order!

Odessa - thanks. Will start the blocks this weekend. Hope to enjoy the extra day too. I was wondering how someone does keep up with swaps, regarding deadlines and who to send what to etc.

Well, it's not easy ... I tend to just jump in both feet and all!

I have almost an embarrassment of riches, as it were:

- I also belong to another quilting forum and am coordinating a round robin exchange that started Sept. 1 (we will mail on the 22nd).

- Then there is the fall block swap here (a dozen blocks as you all know).

- A block of the month Lotto on my other board, where I am doing 4 blocks this time.

- sending out 7" blocks tomorrow to someone here to help her with a project.

I keep a tablet of the addresses and deadlines in the drawer of my sewing cabinet. Then I make a stack of what needs to be done this month (directions, fabrics, any notes I have, addresses, etc.), in the order I need to accomplish it all (earliest out on top).

As I complete a project, I put a check mark on my tablet list. That way I can see what still is not accomplished, etc.

My big problem is that I keep seeing a ton of other swaps and lottos and requests for fabrics and stuff that I want to do it all! Combine that with the fact that I am a mild-mannered legal secretary by day, independent wedding cake baker/pastry chef at night, and in my spare time I LOVE to quilt. I want my grandkids to call me "Super Bubbe" when they get old enough to realize that I wear a supercape under my regular clothes!

It's a juggling act, but the quilting keeps my blood pressure down and my spirits up! (and, honestly, it's rather fun!!!)

Okay, I finally found an autumn block that I like and can get done in time. So put me in for 12 blocks. It is called Autumn 4 patch chain. Thanks Colletta for doing this again. :P

Here is my block (Greek Cross). The fabrics are all batiks and I just loved the deep colors. I think it will fit in with all the other beautiful Fall Blocks that I have seen on this board.
