On the flannel though...can you do it in a cotton fab? It would be the only flannel block in the swap and might be a little harder to place in the whole quilt.
Thank you! I'll just skip the flannel and do the ones in the pictures. Which do you like of the bottom 2 pics. The white is actually a pillowcase tube circa 1940....I have yards of it.

Karen.. Those are pretty cool looking blocks! You can have 2 different sets just with using the transparency of the same block...

Yea or nay?? Honest opinions please. I'm only so-so on it so no worries about hurting my feelings if you don't like it. LOL.

This one's a keeper. This is Chubby Cluck from fatcat. Only fused so far. Not sure yet if I'll satin stitch on the machine or blanketstitch by hand.

Karen, I like either one...since the one is supposed to be red..but not showing up that way I guess its hard to say, but I'm sure they both look great! I just think its a cool pattern!

Sew cornie...I love them both...2 keepers!!

I keep checking in on this swap, trying to convince myself I really don't have time... really tempting though...and I may have accidentally bought chicken fabric :-S
Hmmm - I guess theres a possibility some British chicks might be joining in...
