That is so the link will be "bumped" to the top of the page where more quilters can see it and hopefully volunteer to make more blocks for Kennedy's quilt----we want to be sure everyone knows Kennedy's story and what a worthwhile project this it!

(otherwise it will end up on page 2 or 3 or whatever and disappear.....)

UH OH...I have a couple questions now:

    1. can the blocks be any colors or just the red or pink/green combo..confused about that are they supposed to look just like the samples?

    2. Where do we send the blocks?

    3. Do you want the bracelet with hope as on the first hand? Is the first hand the one you are calling "red" it looks sort of purple/fusha on my moniter lol.

I am going to see if I can get some friends in and make the blocks too.

1 - blocks (hand), can be any color - 9" or little bigger, and she will trim
2 - pm, martina, and she will give you addy
3 - yes, she wants the word hope on the block, doesn't have to be in the
middle of the hand, but somewhere that looks good, of course
Martina, said if you do not embroider, she would do it.
We didn't discuss pigma pens (fabric markers)
4 - the word hope goes on each block, you can do one hand or two, or more, if you like
she is talking about the hand with the flower designs on it, and word hope is across middle

Thanks for helping out q&c. I just got to the PC - had to finish a binding.

Yes, any color is OK. (I'm making a few other than green and pink to balance the color palette.) My "red" is actually a multicolor red with a tiny bit of pink and yellow in the swirl.

Please note that the one with the bracelet is just one interpretation of how to get the Hope on the Hand. The other samples have the Hope in different positions (embroidered and appliqued)

On the "bracelet" I actually wrote the word Hope with fabric pen. So pigma pens are just fine.

Margie, check your private messages. I had sent one to you yesterday with my addy.

If your friends want to help that would be great. The more, the merrier. Or should I say "more hopeful?"

I am doing one block with my grandson's hand prints. he picked out orange fabric --his favorite color. I hope that will be ok. Elaine
