Jacie, praying only good news comes your way. Did I say my partner lives way north of me. LOL. I have never visited her state, but would like to one day. I had said I was going to start after I finished this t-shirt quilt, but I think I got myself into something more than I can handle. The girl wanted it lofty so I put two layers of batting, how else would I get it lofty right. Well, have it all sandwiched and ready to put on my DSM, but it's now too big, too fat, and what a mess. So I just emailed her mom, and said we have 1 of 2 choices, either HQ with large stiches, or tie it very closely together. Showed her the two option. So for now, I'm waiting to hear. I have been going thru pics, books, etc of ideas of what to make for my SP. Oh, the thoughts running through my head. I have some perfect material for her, but they were not her color choices. So SP, you may get two. One for home and one for another reason. ( hint, hint). As far as whomever has yours truely, I will absolutely love whatever you come up with. I'm not a hard person to please.
For Brat, I thought for your next swap. Lets do one, where we make it to picture something where we live. Like I live in New Orleans, so I would make one that depicts my city. Thoughts? Okay, off to go look through my stash.

Thanks klaws - I should have posted radio stations and not TV - eons ago in high school for radio class that was one of the first things we learned and I mistakenly added TV - thank you for the correction

Grannyrosie, that was my suggestion awhile ago for a quilt, so a big thanks for bringing that up. Whoever has me, go with what you have. it doesn't have to b in "MY COLORS" do what you like. I just did my sp in what i thought was appropriate.
for example, just coz someone likes red, doesn't mean i made a sky out of it. Do what you like. If you have a gret idea, go for it!!!

I got the binding finished on my mug rug yesterday. That's about all I got done as I had someone here cleaning the carpets and we took a quick trip to Spokane last night. Back home and furniture is put back in place...now my floors are ready for the upcoming holiday season!
Lynnie, I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to add to my SP's package yet? Maybe some tea bags, chocolate and pincushion or needlecase? You??

Granny,
Hope you get that t-shirt quilt finished and done so you can move on to this fun mug rug swap!
I think tying it sounds like a nice idea... kinda goes with t-shirt comfy to me.
And to whomever got me, make whatever. I'm happy to receive it, and I honestly just love the camaraderie we have here as much if not more than getting goodies.
I always said I knew I was a grown-up (mostly) when giving things become more fun and exciting than receiving things.
Not that I don't enjoy opening my "goodie" pkgs...lol

Vitality...oh I love your fabrics. Whoever is your SP will be very fortunate. As to including goodies, I try to include a little sewing notion and flavored tea or hot chocolate if that is what they like. Try to add some little thing that would be along the lines of what they collect. Unless they really don't like chocolate..I try to send some of that. Hard to give clues for my SP without being too specific but she does not live west of me. This is a fun swap. I will get started on MR next week. Going to a quilt class tomorrow taught by Pam Buda. Should be fun! As to binding a MR, I like doing the pillowcase method where you layer, sew around, leave an opening, turn RSO and then sew around outside edge. Binding little things is difficult for me.

I am probably going overboard on this swap, I just finished a lovely giftie that my SS said that she collects! What the heck, it's a holiday swap!! My joy is making things that I know others will love. (and of course, getting goodies in return!!). I'm going to work on the mug rug this weekend, then I'll be ready to mail!!
I can't wait til opening day!!
