Broken foot . . . ! Oh, I'm so sorry for your pain, but am glad I was able to bring a smile to your day. Goodness, between you and the men in Linda's family, we've had a lot of broken bones in our IRR group this year.

OH Chrys, sorry to hear about your foot. Hope it heals real soon, and it's not too painful.
Jen, I also love what you've done with this centre. Yet again, I'll have to ponder another border. Ideas will eventually flow.
If you leave the papers on, I'll pick ém off when I get the next round on.
Have finished both sides of patti's, and have just started the top/bottom border about 5 mins ago. So far I haven't sewn the borders on, but it has been very fiddly trying to get this one right. Now that I'm happy with it, I can start the handsewing. This one will definitely be close, but it will be in the mail on time, even if I ned to take time off work to gt it done. It will be done!!!!

thanks everyone! I'm not in too much pain, it's really bothersome though. Thankfully it's my left foot so I can still drive and hopefully sew on my machine. If not, my friends can help me finish up the borders on the quilt. I get my cast on monday and hopefully I get a boot or a walking cast. I hate the crutches!!!

Here's a sneak peek for Patti, and anyone else looking.
Have not sewn any borders on yet, they're just layed on the floor for the photo. Top border has needle and thread attached if you look closely enough. Spent 6 hours in ER with DH this evening/morning. Had to leave him there overnight. 1st they thought kidney stones, now they don't know. But I did get a lot of handsewing done.

Beautiful!!! Where did you find the pattern for this? I love it!

Sorry to hear about your DH. Hope he is well soon. You have had more than your share of hospital waiting rooms in the last few months.

Linda, that reminds me of sunlight streaming through a stained glass window.

Best wishes for your DH. I hope they give him a correct diagnosis soon!

Thanks all. I Also hope for a correct diagnosis soon. Have just about had enough of ER's. The pattern is a border from a quilt called Turkish Delight from a Quilts Down Under magazine. As soon as I saw this quilt I knee it was just the thing for Pattison top. Just had to wait for the second issue to be released. As is usual in this situation it was a two part pattern. Was meant to be needle turned but me and needle turn don't gel so I used fusible and blanket stitch. Only problem with this is it seems to take forever. Maybe it's as well I make so many hospital visits.
It will be a well traveled border when it's done though. So far it has been to Melbourne, Gippsland, Bairnsdale, Eden (NSW) and Hobart (Tasmania). So 3 different states of Australia and lots of country towns in Victoria. it has been lots of work but I've really enjoyed doing it.
