I think KLue was debating too - might want to check in with her??? Perhaps I'll send her a PM. Can't think of anyone else, is the barenakedladies gal in the list??

Also, to be clear, I'm open to whatever. I like the idea of international best, but if you need a person to round out a domestic only group, I can do that!

Glad you have decided to join us. You need to confirm your interest to either Patti or myself by sending your name and address plus your email address and also confirm whether you want international or your happy to go with USA/ Canada swap.

It is exciting I have to say I am thinking what my centre can be too.

    Glad I'm on the list! :D :D

I guess trying to order it do as shorter hops as possible would limit how many people were paying lots of postage, as well as the POs chance of losing them. I know in the current IRR my group has meant the tops cross the Atlantic 4 times, going between US and UK. I guess it could have been ordered so it only had to cross twice, although I have to say that I dont regret it since the different contributions people have made seem to look so right in the order they are.

Yep... I'm definitely in! And on the international one please.... not that I have much choice there! LOL ;-)

I have been thinking I might start a new section in my journal, and print out the instructions but also the quilt pictures from each step, the bits I add to everyone's quilt and the final pictures as well. It would be an awesome record to look back on.

I'm IN. Wow, this sounds like fun. I'd like to do local postage only, please. I was wondering if it could be arranged for you to pin-point us all on a map, and make the next person along a route, so that the quilt doesn't have to criss cross the country many times. It would sure help in postage.

I assume that we pick the colors, and a design that "matches" the center piece, right?

Good idea, in that case, perhaps those of us who don't have journal pages will have to start one. I have been holding off, thinking I didn't have much to put on one.

Anyway... Am I understanding it right that a participant would up make the center square and pass it on. Then when the next center square would come to you and you would make the 1st border on that quilt, then on the next the 2nd border then the 3rd border on the next one passed to you?
You would end up with 7 people in a group so would then end up making all 6 borders one on each plus your center square on 7 different quilts?
Another question: with mailing every 2 months does this work out to a 14 month time frame?
Okay, o answer your questions. If you were the participant, there would be you and 5 others (6). You make the first block and send it on to the next person. Everyone else does the same, sending it to the person next on the list. Its a 12 month time frame. Okay.

Are you going to join us, cīmon you know you want to, international or home, the choice is yours. PM Patti or me with name, address and email address and state your choice.

I started mine mainly for the stories.... I like the stories behind the quilts, the motivation, the recipient, that sort of thing. And things I've learned during the making of it, things I wouldn't repeat again, the good, the bad, and the ugly. And most of all, the funny bits. :-)
