BRT: I guess that depends on the kind of quilt you want to have. The hedgehog will lend itself to tons of applique and embroidery while the star lends itself to more classical types of piecing.

    HOLY LOT OF NAMES, BATMAN!!!

Terri, you are to be greatly admired for taking on this huge task of organizing and deciding for all of us so we can play. Thank you.

Oh oh...I may be in trouble if I get the hedgehog block: don't do applique (by hand) OR embroidery. :(

Don't worry. Just do your best and you will be fine. You will find the things you can do and learn new skills.

Nothing says you HAVE to do embroidery or applique on the border. By the time you get it..IF you get it, it just may need a plain border. You never know....

Of course not, regular piecing would be great to balance everything out. No worries, everyone does what they do best Nonnie. I'm sure whatever center you get you'll do a fabulous job!!

That's the great thing about Round Robins. You don't HAVE to do what the originator did. You simply supplement the center with a style that works for you and let the creative juices flow. Trust me, I have seen some fabrics where I am saying: Oh dear, what would you do with that? and suddenly......an idea pops up.
