I'd ove to swap with her. I started at a young age. by 12 i was designing my own cloths. you could let her 'look' over your shoulder as she signs on to look at pictures to get good ideas like we all do. she got a nice swap package. i'm into buttons too, the kind she likes are great. i have an overstuffed zip lock of them.
how old is she. she's doing great, and we all look forward to helping in the mentoring of a new sewist/quilter. who knows, she may make all her school cloths this summer.

What a cutie pie. Karen did a wonderful job swapping with Claire.I'm sure Laurie will work with you as she is a very good host.Ladies I sent a PM to Dya in the neitherlands (fabric lover) inviting her to join us for june again. I put down that I would swap international again this month.I don't know if anyone else did. have a great weekend all. Hugs mary

Peg, thank you so much for posting Claire's picture. Now I can put a face to my partner. What a beautiful young lady! I had a wonderful swap with her and love the pc she made me. She has a lot of talent and will go far. Give her {{hugs}} for me.

I totally understand your hesitance Peg, I was very careful of what I let my son do online at that age! What I could do is allow you up to four entries in the swap, 2 for you and 2 for Claire. You could handle all communication for her, but she would be able to throw her name in the bag and be a regular swapper in all other ways.
Mary thanks for contacting Dya, we do have several people who would be willing to ship international. I haven't contacted any former swappers this month, I feel like I'm beginning to be a pest lol.

Lauriejo you are a good pest. lol.. Actually once that is how I came back by being invited.
I think the option you are arranging for Claire is good too, because you can't be too careful.

Lauriejo - that sounds like a great option! Claire says she'll join in this month for 1 pin cushion (she's going to practice a needle case and hopes to add that in July). I will send you a pm tonight with her info. Thank you!!

Thanks, Lynnie and all. Claire is excited. I told klaws, and I'll tell you, too. Claire never got to meet my mom, who instilled my love of sewing in me. She passed away when I was pregnant with my first, who is now 15. You all are like angels sent to bless Claire in my mom's absence. I am humbled by your enthusiastic response to her. Thank you again!
