Wow, you do sound busy, Aborning. Three weddings in a year... Holy smokes! Hopefully you will be able to catch your breath and some well earned sewing time when it's over.

Wow... three weddings in a year! I hope they weren’t all daughters.

Well...sewbizgirl, two of the weddings are daughters. The June wedding was my daughter and the next wedding (Sept,. 1) is my husband's daughter. (They are only 9 month apart in age). I will feel like I have a load off my shoulders once this last wedding is done. I can have my quilting life back! I long arm quilt for customers, too, besides my full time job, so I feel like I have been going crazy this past year with trying to keep up with it all! I have to make all the floral bouquets, corsages, and boutenneires yet, and finish shortening her wedding dress yet and do the bustle. But I will get it all done. I do my best work at the last minute. (Ask my how i know)! I am also going on a Quilt Retreat from Tuesday noon through Sunday noon. Can't wait to go so I can relax!. I have my whites and prints packed already to start working on the 9 patch blocks for the next swap. Something fun to do!

Oh the retreat sounds fun! Wish I were going.

We got the amazing news that we are going to be grandparents next Spring... twice! Both my daughter and DIL are expecting, about six weeks apart. My head is spinning.

Thank you, NZ! I have waited so long to become a grandmother. And now... two!!

We don’t know their genders yet... but I just have a feeling my daughter is having a boy and DIL is having a girl. DIL said regardless of gender, they are doing “neutrals”. Blah.

My daughter seems to love the new baby gauze, so I am going to make her some stuff with that... a little quilt, swaddling blankets, and burp pads. Not as sure about what my DIL would like. DD wants to cloth diaper, at least at home. DIL wants to use only disposables. So I’m making some diaper covers and soaker pads for DD.

Since you are a young mommy, NZ, maybe you can tell me what is trending now in baby must-haves. It’s been 30 years since I last did this!

Don't worry, Sewbiz, babies haven't changed! All they need is love!

Wow, that is so creative!!! I love it! Did you design it yourself? It's very different than any we have seen here, but so beautiful! I've been staring at the picture for the past few minutes, trying to figure out what you did, lol! Can you post a bigger photo?
