The crazy quilts are really rolling in and they are all so beautiful. I am sewing the binding down on mine to Needlegrammy but I am afraid to even mail it...just so plain to what everyone else is doing. I am glad to learn about tying the crazy quilts, one little job I can do well...well I think I can.

sammygirlqt-- here is the true secret of dq swaps. as taught to me by a very dear friend-- it isn't so much about the gift of a doll quilt, it's the gift of a new friendship beginning! truly! relax, have fun, make friends and enjoy the process!

Sammygirlqut, Nancia summed it up - it's all about making new friends here. And also about stretching your wings a little bit and trying new things. Working on a small scale really has helped me to try new things. I'm sure your quilt is fabulous.

Sammygirlqt!!! I am trying sewwwww hard to be good!!! But it is really hard!!!! I have been in more trouble the past few days than I have in years. My mommy yelled at me and smacked my hand because I was going to pay for our breakfast She actually locked my purse in the truck. Then she just laughed at me!!!! I don't know of any 54 year old woman that her mom got mad at her for trying to do something nice!!!!! But breakfast was very good!! I promise I will stay far away from those big boys with guns. I don't like to get hurt (or smacked)!!!! Hope you have a wonderful week. I know I will we have our Featherweight club today. I don't know what Needlegrammy has instore for us. She emailed me and said to bring a fat 8th and matching thread!!! hmmmmm this will be interesting. I will post pics later today.

Here is a picture of the DQ I made for Allie, she asked me to post a picture for her... I didn't do a crazy quilt as I didn't feel I had the time I like to spend on those kind of projects....

Rosemary, it's beautiful! I'm sure she loves it and I hope you two had a great time getting to know each other.

And now for some great news ... I won the Nancy Zeiman scarf contest!!! I am so excited. The first prize is a Babylock machine bag trolley which I love and can use, but honestly, I don't even care about that so much. I really just wanted to win. It's just the little boost I needed today. Thanks for all your support!
