The mailman handed me the golden ticket today.
I received 2 blocks from Jean in Oklahoma.....The one with the pink cancer ribbons for cathy has sparkley fabric and is tres chic....
Also I wanted to give you a tip that I asked Jean about. I really like her tack down on her applique, so I asked her about it.
Her is what Jean had to say.....

"I just take my time, I use different stitches depending on what the design is. I do enjoy it.

I just use a lite weight tear-away stabilizer, usually get it at Hancocks or Joanns. It's by Pellon. I use it usually for my machine embroidery too".

There you go, I have tried and I won't do it anyother way now. It really helps turning curves too.

Hey Donna it just takes practice.. we all start somewhere. Your star block is sooo pretty..

Gotta tell ya what just happened about 30 mins ago!! Was setting here reading things, and had just let the Boxer out...I hear this loud, gruff bark, I knew she had something on the run. OH it was something alright! A bloomin' SKUNK in the yard, and she got it right in the face!! Thank goodness for tomato juice!!! Got her in the tub and away we went....she's all frufru'd up now, and got a treat.. Guess the rain brought him up from the creek!! So that's been my relaxing time...  ;)

Yes, got it all. she got it really good in the face! was drooling when she came in. She's good at taking a bath, so no problem there, it was just a mess with all the towels and water, she likes to shake..hahaha
