Mine was mailed yesterday along with a couple extra little goodies.

Hope she likes it, but I think she has only made 1 post on the QB
since she has been a member of the board.

If I told you it might ruin the surprise of it all. Sorry, hope you don't mind waiting. I am waiting for my mug rug to arrive also.

Yippeeee! It was so fun to come home from a memorial service today and find my squishy package in my mailbox. It came all the way from Canada!

Thank you Tulip43. Beverly. I love it.

She also included a cup rug and sent a great card which I am planning to frame and hang in my sewing room. I will post photos tomorrow when my natural lighting is at its best. What a fun swap.

I received your package yesterday LoupEspirit! The two mug rugs are both beautiful, colorful, and coordinate well for a cup of coffee and a treat! Love them both but the peacock is certainly a work of art. The note pad is a great size to drop into my purse for shopping!!! Many thanks. Pam

So glad you like them, Pam! I was so nervous! LOL.

Here's a bigger pic of the peacock; the applique was fun to do, now that I figured out the 'right' way to do the elmer's glue method! I just wish I had done the binding differently.

It's something I learned here on the board.

You take the applique pieces with the fusible already on them (the part I skipped before - d'oh!) and glue them in place with a THIN layer of elmer's school glue. (It HAS to be the washable school glue!) Iron with NO steam to dry the glue, then sew the pieces on. The glue holds them in place so you can glue them without chasing them around the quilt, and when you wash the quilt, the glue comes out!

i'm confused. why do you need glue when you have the fusible?
