Hi Kiddies just checking in. My felted sheep are in need of a lot of work and supplies in order to make a single block from the quilt. I seem to not have real wool felt... tested it all and a good bit was plastic,,, just melted. :-) So I found a bunch of wool fabric, have a shed full of fleece and almost bought a felting machine to make my own and thought, your nuts! So I didn't.

I have a bunch of HST's from my Y2K quilt as well as a slew of scraps... my happy place... ahhhh. Now if I could just compile them better. That said I have a large tote in the garage where half is probably full of individual squares all nice. Then there's the double wedding ring quilt with stacks of 6". That box is larger then a shoe box so it's a lot of squares. But what do I do? I went and bought another 800 or so online. Slap me now that's just too many charming squares. Back to the HST's.... I laid them out and had fun playing with them so I might go back there for my wall hanging... playing with fabric. I can't wait to play but just had a procedure done on my back to help me keep walking. I need to stay down... here that Wen? Stay down. :-) Have a great day, really looking forward to this.

I miss swapping... so few people do it any more and I can't find like the centralized block/fabric swaps too much. I used to sew all day every day and still have so many of my completely swaps just sitting out in the garage in a tote box. Really should get them all out and finish them before lamenting the fact that I can't swap any more. Something about getting back stuff from all over the place. Wall hanging is good though, I should be able to finish something like that in short order. I got this nifty pattern in and I'm playing with dyeing wool for it. This could be a good start heading into it... just a block.. it's covered with hand embroidery so fun.

This will be a new group/swap for me, but I'm up for the challenge.

I am waiting on one thing for my WH supplies and I should be able to share a pile of stuff with you.... I'm so excited to dig in and start this project...

In the meantime, playing with tiny pillows...this batch was sent to my sister who is planning retirement... Her dream is a log cabin....so these were made to keep her dream alive...

Welcome, mpepper. Hope you find enjoyment and fun here. We try to be a good funny bunch of quilters.
Teen, what lovely pillows. Congrats on your sister's retirement. My sister is planning her retirement at the end of this month. Going to be a bit strange but happy to have my entire family all retired. We are just getting too old to fast. Remember when we couldn't wait to be 21? To live those days with today knowledge!
