Okay here it is w/ the dandelion completely quilted, I am trying to decide whether to quilt some of the empty spaces???? I like the simplicity of it the way it is and love how the quilting looks now, I don't do well at freehand quilting and am worried if I try and do more it will ruin it.

K, sweeeeet! Do what you know will work for you. Is the quilt held together enough to stop it from sagging ?

i don't know that it needs more quilting but if I were to add more stitching, I would follow three of the grain lines in the background to accent the breeze. One near the top and two across the lower area. This also depends on your choice of hanger.
waiting to see the reveal!

What is the colonial knot?

Okay I looked that one up too and it is a good variation of the FK. The CK is kind of sexy with all the curves in it as you make it. I like that one! Thanks for sharing it.

I agree with ube on the background quilting I would follow the watermarks in the background fabric to give it some movement. Its really neat! Ok I am going to look at the Colonial knot now...Happy New Year everyone!

ube,

I never quite thought of a knot being sexy, but with those curves I can see where you would think so. A friend and I both had the issue of the FK imploding, until she took a class at craft camp last June on Candlewicking and learned the CK and taught it to me. Certainly solved a lot of knot issues I have experienced.

Kassaundra, I love the story about Rudy. He is a very special bird to have you in his life. I love the outfits, that made me smile. Your WH is also looking very nice.

Marionquilts..I didn't think your 1st attempt was all that bad. But as the creator, we also have to be happy with it.

Got mini #2 done. So I know have two completed WH. Which one will be mailed

Default My wall hanging for Rhonda's swap

I hope I am doing this right and not sending it to the wrong place. I just wanted to post a picture of the wall hanging that I have made for someone who is part of our swap group. I hope others will show theirs too. I love looking at pictures of things everyone has made.
