Turkish Taffy was first made after WW II and was a favorite candy of many baby-boomers (myself included). The original company stopped making it in 1980 and sold it to the Tootsie Roll company but they stopped making it in 1989. Since then there have been many petitions going around to bring it back. A few years ago another company bought the rights to the formula and has just started producing it much to the delight of those of us who remember the ads that recommended, "Smack it and crack it!" as the best way to break up the confection into bite-sized pieces...just a bit of nostalgic trivia from the good old carefree days :)

Thanks for the info. We don't have that here. Sounds good. We have Big Turk chocolate bar but I think that is entirely different.

Yes, Letsquilt, I will post the darling scarecrow you created for me when I get home from the post office. I am going to try to send your doll quilt on wings to see if gets to you before Tuesday.

Be looking out for it!

Thank you letsquilt! It was my first time doing hand applique, fusible applique, machine applique using special stitches, invisible thread, sunbonnet sue, and I learned so much! I used a charm pack from connecting threads for most of the fabrics.
( http://www.sunbonnetsue.com/pattern9.html I drew my windy sue based off of this pattern ) Now I'm looking forward to the next swap!

Fancifrock, that is so cute! I love the pumpkins, the vines/leaves and the mug rugs are adorable!
