October 2010 Doll Quilt Swap
#473
My camera is finally working and I thought I would post the quilt I got and the quilt I sent. I asked for something modern. Isn't it great it looks like a modern painting. The blocks around the main focus fabric were black and white fabric. She used fabric amrkers to highlight different areas. Amazing!
The one I sent is a paperpieced batik quilt. I hope she likes it.

As promised... here is the beautiful quilt Luckylindy333 sent me... Linda backed the quilt with flannel which makes me wish I could be small enough I could wrap myself up in it.
Look at the beautifully creative label she made. What a great way to use a flowery heart-shaped piece of fabric. Linda and I live on opposite sides of the state of Washington... hence the term 'Linda of the West', making me 'Linda of the East'!
Notice the squares of smilin' faces which Linda bought in Hawaii. She really spoiled me. I raised my kids in the Seattle area. Linda went to Pike's Place Market (a public market that was built in 1907) and bought me some Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory truffles to remind me of Seattle. Oh, and are they melt in your mouth good. My blood sugar is zooming from eating one.
Thank you so much Linda [of the West] for a doll quilt which is a wonderful reminder of meeting you through this swap.
Linda has a terrific sense of humor. The toy boxing Rudolph the Red Reindeer shows it. When he boxes his nose lights up Bright Red! :-D

Ok, sapdoggie, sorry for the delay, your doll quilt was mailed today. I forgot to take a picture of it as I was in such a hurry to get it packaged and sent off. So start looking for it early next week. Thank you for being patient.
