Had the MRI, it showed no damage to the spinal cord, there is a little cloudiness on one side of the brain but the doctor felt with continued medication it would clear up and be fine. No idea how she contacted it in the first place and we will probably never know but she is on the steady road to recovery as of tonight. I want to thank each one of you for your thoughts, prayers and support. I truly believe you made a difference in this outcome and I will be forever grateful!! Again thank you so much, it truly is appreciated.
Wow! Awesome! I am so incredibly happy to read this! (Where IS that Happy Dance icon? Nevertheless, I am doing it!) Jan, this is the BEST news! Whoo Hoo!

Our good news is that Mike may get to come home on Friday. He is very weak over all and physically his arms and hands do not work well. Cognitively he is set back. The doctors figure it will take a year to get him where he was before he got sick. I am betting six months. This kid is a fighter/survivor. He insists he can/will feed himself and does even though he gets it all over his face and clothes. He won't accept being an invalid. (He doesn't know it yet, but life as he used to live it is history!) Meaning he is going to have a lot more limitations physically, but he needs to push himself right now.

(Just no more doing chin ups in the tree out front with cinder blocks tied to his feet!!!!!) Yes. We did catch him doing this.

Here is an UPRIGHT Mike.

He desperately wants to come home. Please pray he doesn't have any set backs and that he can come home to the Mommy ICU on Friday. We all need him!

Nice photo of Mike, Deb! Good progress. And with his determination, there is no doubt he will succeed.

Deb, I'm so happy that Mike is doing a lot better. He looks a lot better than in that first picture you posted. Please tell him that we are all rooting for him to come home on Friday. {{{HUGS}}}

How's everyone doing with their mug rugs? Has everyone sent to their partner? Please let me know if anyone is still waiting for their package.

The new swap for November has been posted, but I would like to know who -- if anyone -- hasn't received their October mug rug ... & if they have been communicating with their partner about it.

The mug rugs posted have been wonderful! Everyone is so creative!

What great news for Monica and Mike. Hopefully they will be home real soon. I will keep sending prayers.

I was waiting for my partner to say she was ready to mail. I think I'll mail her package tomorrow

I received my great mug rug from ctyankee today. She also sent me a coaster and one of life's essentials CHOCOLATE! Some tea that I can't wait to try and a pin cushion. Thank you!
