Check out the package I received from Crafty Darlene - it's fabulous! 3 upcycled quilt mags, and a quilt pattern for a Chanukah quilt. I've never seen this pattern before and I always look for Jewish-themed quilts and love to invent my own too. I will definitely try this one this year. Also, a small notebook, coffee, mints and a chocolate mint, mini seam ripper, a sewing-themed nail file (too small to see but it has sewing machines, measuring tape, thread, on it) (love it, wherever do you find those?), and 8 gorgeous FQs of batiks and black and white prints. Perfect - what a great SP package - thank you so much Crafty Darlene!

I saw a small hanging board yesterday in our thrift shop and it read something like:

Wow! Super packages this month. Lots of pretty fabrics and great handmade items.

I got a great package from Mizkyp yesterday. She made me a Fourth of July mug rug and sent me some awesome RWB fabric, she must have picked up on the information I wrote that hubby's birthday is on the Fourth. As soon as hubby saw the mug rug he claimed it saying I have too many, lol, and then asked me what I am making him with the fabric. Maybe I'll make him an apron for grilling.
She also sent me pretty batik FQs, Halloween socks and Koozie( another thing hubby claimed) and yummy candy that I regret to inform you that is no longer with us. The herbal tea box is so timely, as I just put it on my grocery list right before I got the package:)
Margie, thanks for being an awesome pal :P I love it all.

Love the beautiful and thoughtful packages this month. Great Job.
All these goodies have me excited for next month - have to start sewing now so a special little project will be done before the deadline in November. I know it is early to think about this but the reality is if I don't think about it now the deadline will sneak up on me and I won't have something special to send to my SP. Also have to get a couple Holiday items done as well.

If everyone mailed their packages and receives them in record time I'm sure Lori will do the Nov. swap sign up early.....right Lori?

Lori , that fabric is awesome ( I turned my head when I drooled, nothing got on it  ) but I am in love with that pin cushion. How can you all make these cute pin cushions?? Somebody really needs to teach me how to sew.
