Instead of asking for the same postage rate maybe you can just see how much it cost to send the package and then ask for that amount in stamps. Example....it cost $4.95 and you ask for $4.95 cents in stamps. And not even mention needing the same postage. Sounds like they are ripping you off.
Hmmm good ideal and yes they are ripping me off I was telling my husband the other day they over charge me!

Wendy, lovely package you put together!
Well, my mailbox was empty again today. Big surprise. :(

On an up note, DH and I went to Joann and I snagged a lot of great stuff for my veils! Notions were reduced and I had a 20% off everything coupon, so I got some nice pins for swaps and some embroidery and metallic needles for myself! :D

Finished my square for Marty and, as usual, had a big whoops.
I used my embroidery machine to quilt it in a nice design with hearts and on motif 3 of 4, despite carefully clipping the loose part out of the way, a corner got quilted into the back!!! I wasn't about to take it apart since the front had several 1" 9 patch squares so I snipped carefully and colored in the part where a teeny bit of batting showed. Pix will go up on the Marty thread.

The kids in your avatar are too adorable, and I think that if your pal is watching this thread, they got an A "ok" hint from you :P

They do have a stamp that says $4.95 on it...

If you go to www.usps.com and create an account, you can order the padded envelopes. Be sure to ask for as many as you think you'll need in the future because you can only order 15 at a time. If you print out postage there you'll only have to pay $4.75. You can really cram a lot into them.

I had another experience with USPS stinkers. I used a flat rate box and covered up the flat rate notations with their stickers. It weighed less than it would have with flat rate. They said I couldn't use it for less. My husband argued that we could use a box from the grocery store and put priority stickers on it and that would be fine, so why not a flat rate box sent at priority rate? No go. Had to pay the extra. :hunf:
