Hi Ladies - thanks for the responses to the question I had about the surprise quilt I need to make (9 answers so far!). The feedback is good - keep it coming! so I am thinking that my blocks should be scrappy so that each has its own personality. I do like that bluey teal color so although the color and patterns can be random, it could be cool to sneak in that color somehow. I think that if I have all the blocks ready by end of May, I can have this completed by end of June which should be ok. I really appreciate the help on this project!

Block is ready and waiting for the mail in the morning.

Many thanks to everyone who responded to my call for help on my surprise quilt - I now have 18 ideas for scrappy blocks - I just need to finish my wedding quilt gift and I figure I can start on my surprise quilt by end of May (I should have all the blocks by then). If anyone has a new idea, just PM me that would be great. I think it will be at least a 60 x 60.
I just need to remind myself that all the guests for the surprise quilt need to sign the blocks! I did a baby quilt that way - had all the quests at the baby shower sign it. The new mom was tickled.

Barb- so sorry to hear of all the family challenges. May the Lord keep you & family under the shadow of His wing.

my aunt passed away this morning. Which is a blessing for my mom she was torn what to do..now she can go to my sister in law's funeral on Saturday in Cincinnati then we come back for my Aunts funeral on Monday......
