Janice have fun with all the cousins. Exact opposite here, I visit with Mom about 3 hours a day if she us up to it then go back tony sister's very strange to be here without them. Do plan on shopping and freezing up some meals for them

I love how this block came out. It is interesting to see how this fabric swirls in the different blocks.

Here's another for block. I was skeptical about this f8 but once again, you all have superior vision. Hope you like it Bibliostone :) And this is one where I used the reverse of a fabric to get the nearly solid lighter purple.

Hi. For those who like antique quilts, please check out my posts tonight under photos category. I like to restore antique quilts; one I hand quilted; one I machine quilted. The tops were pieced in 1900,and stored in the desert in an old cedar chest all these years. The fabric was in pretty good condition. They were both badly stained, but cleaned up well.

Those are beautiful, Francie! I really love the blue gingham monkey wrenches. You quilted them just like they may have been back in their day.

I have a vintage top or two that need to be quilted. My favorite one is from about the 1950's. Gotta get that sandwiched and quilted. Recently I saw another unfinished vintage quilt at a flea market that I can't stop thinking about, but it's $50 unfinished! It's about 2/3 hand quilted, with the rest left for you to figure out. May have to go back and take another look at it.

Libster, here's your block. I hope it's ok. I struggled with the greys so finally gave up on it, changed blocks and went with a deep red/burgundy. This pic was taken with a flash and the red looks blackish but it isn't. :)

So this is it for me for a bit. Ive got four more blocks to make; I won't forget. :) I've already neatened up my sewing room and put the big items away so no sewing for me for a couple of weeks. I like seeing it tidy but it won't last long.
