Yosamitas, moonrise and MaryT. your fabrics came in.

What a nice surprise to already find three different fabrics for this swap in the mailbox. I'll be picking out fabrics to go with them and block designs.

Well, I must have FAT F8s, because my postoffice charged me 90 cents per envelope this morning! And that was after they warned me that now they have to be checked for puffiness (yep..true comment). So if they have too much AIR in them, it would be 1.90 each. So I folded those darn fabrics as thin as I could, pressed, rewrapped the Press n Seal, squished them to death, poaked tiny pinholes in the wrap and squished some more air out of them. They actually had this piece of cardboard with a slot cut in it that they had to pass each envelope through (the official Puffy test). They passed, thank goodness. Now since I live in the boonies and our post office is a small trailer which also houses the feed & grain and the game warden, I won't argue with them. But the next time I have to stand in line behind a guy in an orange hat holding a dead turkey I shall voice my objections loudly.

Marytoddliz - Your grown-up block is headed back in the morning. Hope you like it! :) There's a link in my sig line if you want to peek at the photo.

I bet everyone's mailboxes will be bursting with F8s very soon! The initial windfall of F8s over the first week or two is so fun. :D

I've set a goal for myself to finish blocks within the week I get the fabric. I'd say with 24 hours, but if I get 10 F8s on the same day a 24 hour turn-around would be impossible. School starts a week from today and I'm doing some ridiculous amount of hours & observational hours. Thankfully Doogie's deployment didn't happen or I'd be begging for valium in those packages instead of chocolate.

Wow I got two squishies today. Marybeth and yosamitesa. I have mine ready to go but I have to mail out some swaps first and then see if there is enough money to mail out my booms or I will have to wait until Sept. 1. Sigh.
I am so excited to start on thetwo I just received.

Well, hello everyone. I am in this group also. I am a little on the shy side so I haven't really posted much but I have done a few swaps and am really excited about this one. I actually haven't decided what fabric I am going to send, I think I know but I am still looking at a couple websites. Gonna make up my mind and order something tonight so I should be able to send out my fabric soon. I am really looking forward to trying some new blocks and can't wait to start recieving everyones fabric.

I taught One Fabric Wonder block table runner. One nearly finished hers in the two hours and the other student did not stop talking long enough to get anything done so I even cut her fabric just so she could figure it out when she got home. When I take a class I try so hard to get so much done that I don't visit with anyone. I did get moornise fabric and Yosamitesa as well. Yosa, may I use a bright ornage that goes with the Lorax on the fabric, and a bright green? Want to keep in what you want. Have to search stash for the pretty butterfly fabric. Well, back pain attack has caused me to stop cold. Nothing getting done tonight, can hardly breathe from the pain so off to massage bed, drugs, and booking accupuncture appointment. Can't believe this. Trying to provide for family and you get obstacles. Guess they will be doing the lifting and jar tightening for me from now on.

I also got Yosamitesa's F8 (yeah TEXAS!) as I returned from my QS. I purchased new fabric and just finished washing it. Will cut and stuff tonight and tomorrow, mail Wednesday (I hope). I thought about posting a pic, but was too enthralled in y'alls stories and comments. I'm excited though and LOVE the blocks all you over achievers have FINISHED??? MAN... I'm behind before I even started....Story of my life!! :D

Yours will also, I love your fabric, and the one I have that I thought matched it did not look good with it so I am doing something else, hope you like it!
