Berry, I always put mine in saran wrap and put it in a #10 envelope. It usually costs me 68 cents to mail the F8 and the finished block. The flatter you get the envelope the better it fits for that price!

Urgodschild...yes April is doing one small FAST group with a 2 month turn around then another small slow 4 month turn around...IF she got 16 brave people to do the fast group that is. Also one large group or more also I think.

If it's not to late would love to join. This will be my first time. One small group fast paced.

Check out April's instructions for joining on page one. Send her an email.

Getting prepped to do the small fast group here shortly. Love the newbies joining in here. You are going to have such a blast.

If using a manila envelope, take off the metal fastener. Our local post office told me that metal fastener puts it into a different category and costs more.

I bought some "Social Envelopes" at Walmart. Size 5 3/4" X 8 3/4". This is a standard size for the post office and will go for the standard rate, up to 3.5 ounces. I am sure it will weigh more than that, but it shouldn't be too bad. The thickness of your envelopes have to be under a quarter inch to be considered a letter, not a parcel. I am thinking that this size with only one fold in the fabric will easily be thinner than that.

Social Envelopes comfortably hold and 8 1/2" x 11" paper, folded in half. A fat 8 cut is 9" x 11". I think I can make that work, though I might have to shave off a half inch on the short side.

That is pretty girl. If we are in a group together, I could do something special with that using Jinny Beyer's patterns.
