February mini quilt swap
 

For this swap we will be making miniature quilts. The suggested size is 6-18 inches or anywhere in between, finished.
Square, round, rectangle, hexi, it’s up to you.

The theme is “Down on the Farm"
The little quilt must have a top, batting and backing and must be bound. You can use any method you wish to fashion the top, piecing, appliqué, whole cloth, thread painting etc.


Please PM tlambing by February 1st to sign up. I will then match up names and get them out to you ASAP. You will have until February 28th to mail your tiny quilt to your partner. This is a FIRM DEADLINE!
Please don’t sign up unless you can commit fully to this deadline.

Any swapper that fails to follow through and does not contact me and their partner will be banned from any of my future swaps and will receive bad (swap)feedback. I know that sometimes things happen that are out of our control, I certainly would take this into consideration, but you MUST COMMUNICATE.


Swappers should treat each other as friends and focus on the fun. So…please be prepared to be flexible, patient and understanding if necessary and appropriate.

Don't let the this theme scare ya! Think..........animals large and small, fruits and vegetables, farm land and fences, butter churns, home canned goods, homemade pies and clothes lines. It's really an anything goes theme. I'm thinking rustic and sweet.

Thank u ube, I'm loving this months theme, I love farm life, and stuck for the time being in a trailer park, must have its reasons for I don't see any so trusting God in this one, but love this theme, got lots to choose from , after I get a partner ill sww what she are he likes, as there are a few hes in here,

Oh I've got a little idea churning in my mind...BTW, you've got a real live farmer here who raises Guernsey cows...just to let you know:)

I'm loving this theme - for the past nine months I've been working on vintage farm girl; between that and pintrest the ideas are almost endless. I hope more members will sign up.

I grew up in an unincorporated village and we raised farm animals; my mom's family is a farm family and my dad was just a throw back from the another time; we had a great exposure to rural living growing up. I wouldn't trade it for nothing - we were close enough to town we never felt like we were missing out on anything.

How about my fellow swap members - did you have a rural up bringing or mainly city/town life?

been feeling puny, but had my sketch paper and pencil in bed did a rough drafe with words, of what i want thigns to be adn colors, so got the design finished of my feb mini, got the colors done, think i will be using embroidery machine , and do an applique, this is such a wonderful month, love isin the air, and rain is coming, snow is leaving, adn new blooms are on the way, along with bright colors and beauty in all directions,

Dabbler...Mr. Postman says your mini will arrive Monday!

Meanwhile enjoy this mini flimsy I made...a friend gave me 2 sacks of scraps and as a thank you I'll give her this. She's an artsy quilter, actually has a degree in art, so this will fit her style. I'm piecing a narrow scrappy border now.[ATTACH=CONFIG]568331[/ATTACH]

I thought I was going to get a quilt mailed today but my envelope stash is empty. I will stop at the USPS and replenish my supply Thursday. I will try getting it out the door Friday. Now to work on the wall hanging swap.

Good morning all - the post man delivered a package earlier this week and this morning was the first I was able to get to it. WOW - a beautiful paper-pieced chicken was my reward. Chasezzz did a beautiful job creating something out on the farm. I'll try and post a photo later this evening or first thing tomorrow morning. You all have a great day.
