That's probably what I'm going to get now.. cause this practice block is just horrible.. the muslin is almost see through and it's Roclon.. I think I paid $1.67 a yard.. maybe that's why too, but I don't get it, unless it's cause it's from W/M or just cheap stuff.. It's been a while since I pieces small blocks so I started easy with #8.
I'm also using Roclon muslin but it's different than what Tuesy found. Mine is #409 and is more like 300ct fabric. It doesn't wrinkle out of the dryer, presses very crisp and make a great sounds when you rip it! First block #8 [ATTACH=CONFIG]64066[/ATTACH] |

Tuesy, you can "save" your block by ironing some interfacing on the back of it. It will help with the translucently of the white.
If you are having issues with the muslin, this goes for everyone!, you may use 100% cotton WHITE quilting fabric. (NOT White with patterns or WOW) Great looking blocks Deedles and Tuesy! |
Is that kona cotton we are talking about or do they have a kona muslin? I have pure white kona, and do like it better than the muslin I puchased, but my muslin is also not that thin I dont think. I will post a pic later perhaps

I'm thinking of playing, but once I open the link page where the quilt is shown along with comments, I cannot open the the block pattern file. I get a blank white screen.
I have had this problem with other sites as well. We can't seem to get it fixed. Any ideas? |
