These are so pretty buddy'smom.

When you went to Joann's and were looking at the muslin, did you see on the end of the bolt what kind of muslin it was? Reason I ask is that I bought some RocLon muslin and it seems thicker..I guess you could say than the other muslins are. Just curious..

Just seem the Kona cotten ya can't see throgh as easy.

Thank you. That's probably what I'm going to get now.. cause this practice block is just horrible.. the muslin is almost see through and it's Roclon.. I think I paid $1.67 a yard.. maybe that's why too, but I don't get it, unless it's cause it's from W/M or just cheap stuff.. I try not to put down W/M, but this fabric is just horrible..
so if ya'll go to W/M and see this, PLEASE don't buy it.. it's just to thin...

Bad bad block

It's been a while since I pieces small blocks so I started easy with #8.

I'm also using Roclon muslin but it's different than what Tuesy found. Mine is #409 and is more like 300ct fabric. It doesn't wrinkle out of the dryer, presses very crisp and make a great sounds when you rip it!

First block #8

Tuesy, your block looks great, I'm gonna use the kona muslin, as I said even the 4.99 muslin at Joann's was very thin. My LQS has muslin as well but again it's thin. Gonna put alot of time into pp the tiny blocks I want them to last with the rest of the quilt.

Very pretty block & nice colors.

Tuesy, you can "save" your block by ironing some interfacing on the back of it. It will help with the translucently of the white.

If you are having issues with the muslin, this goes for everyone!, you may use 100% cotton WHITE quilting fabric. (NOT White with patterns or WOW)

Great looking blocks Deedles and Tuesy!

Is that kona cotton we are talking about or do they have a kona muslin? I have pure white kona, and do like it better than the muslin I puchased, but my muslin is also not that thin I dont think. I will post a pic later perhaps

I'm thinking of playing, but once I open the link page where the quilt is shown along with comments, I cannot open the the block pattern file. I get a blank white screen.

I have had this problem with other sites as well. We can't seem to get it fixed. Any ideas?
