PM Caroline and get her opinion.

I don't mind a little rouge. I would hope no one in the swap would find disappointment in a different shape top. They are all fun and creative.

peace

Northern Sue 02-01-2017 04:38 PM

I wish I was joining in this time, I like rouge. Can't wait to see your masterpieces ladies :)

CarolinePaj 02-02-2017 08:48 AM

Hi Guys,

Okay... firstly, those table runners are darn pretty! Can't wait to get my hands on one of them!

Secondly, I have answered Sue's PM with regard to going rogue... I have told her that as long as it meets the length requirement and is made up of three layers and is quilted in some way she should go at it!

I can't wait to see this rogue!!!!!!!!

Hope you are all have a good start to the year and getting some sewing time in.

Hugs

Caroline

Northern Sue 02-02-2017 09:05 AM

yahoo! now I better produce something that truly goes rogue! lol

lawsonmugs 02-02-2017 04:46 PM

Oh boy Sue, now impress us all. lol.

Lilrain 02-03-2017 08:38 AM

Sounds like fun. Will see what I can get done.

Belfrybat 02-03-2017 11:49 AM

Table topper sounds good to me as well. Some folks have square or round tables and a topper would work great.

These are the 2 "spring" runners I have made. I'm really happy with 1 of them. and made a few stuff ups with the other, so not happy with it. So the choice is yours, which would you rather receive? Both are yet to be bound. Thanks

Patchesnposies 02-06-2017 04:14 PM

I love them both, but prefer the bottom. Did you use an vintage linen? Love it.

Northern Sue 02-06-2017 05:54 PM

I love both too but would pick bottom one! lol

m-fay 02-07-2017 07:18 PM

I used linen for the fancywork, but I dont know if it was vintage or not. I bought it new.

Caroline, I have PM'd you my info. I have my runner finished. Here is a sneak peek. OH, my table is 32 x 36, so really would like a 'rogue' style, one that will fit my table. Thanks

i'd go for the bottom one too. it looks interesting, the emb. i love that one.

m-fay 02-08-2017 02:05 AM

Ok sewnsew I love that sneak peak.....lynnie, thank for amswering

lawsonmugs 02-08-2017 10:42 AM

Fay I love the bottom one. It's just that I'm not a big pink fan and I love the vintage look of it. Oksewnsew that's some pretty fabric. I also have several sizes of tables with toppers even a octagon one that's about 28 inches. I wouldn't mind a different shape once in awhile either.

ube quilting 02-08-2017 01:42 PM

I also like the vintage runner Just cause I like vintage things.

The peek of the bird fabric is sure pretty.

Northern Sue 02-10-2017 08:08 AM

Hope everyone is staying warm & cozy wherever you are! Today it is minus 32 Celsius with a windchill of minus 36!!!! I'm staying indoors and sewing all day! lol

Oksewnsew 02-10-2017 08:59 AM

Well I think WINTER has missed us - it's already 63, headed to 73, 84 tomorrow!!! Ridiculous for February, you'd think we were Hawaii!! I want COLD & SNOW, guess I'll just wait and see if we get any between now and Spring.. :(

I love both of them! If I had to pick one, it would be the top one.

m-fay 02-10-2017 02:56 PM

Jlt thanks for answering!

It looks like the weather has gone haywire. here in West Aust the whole state has been having massive rainfall all over, flooded roads etc and Perth just had its coldest Feb day on record 17C. while over in the eastern states they're having heat waves, day after day of over 40C and everything is so dry and danger of bushfires,
unbelievable!

Inside ,sewing, is the place to be Northern sue

Welcome to the swap lj.

ljdugas31 02-17-2017 05:47 PM

Thank you!ube

Belfrybat 02-18-2017 05:08 AM

I really like the second tablerunner -- the one with the embroidery. Sue -- your colour are wild and warm. Maybe working with them will warm you as well.

I've been down with bronchitis but am finally on the mend. My tablerunner has been finished for ages and I've started on another for a future swap.

Northern Sue 02-19-2017 08:10 AM

Bronchitis! that's a bummer! Get well soon! Must start my runner this week. Finally caught up on most of my projects - Etoile Rouge, Big Bee & Flower Block Quilt with Leah Day. The Flower Block is a painful process for me because we are learning/practicing our FMQ after constructing the block. I'm determined to gain some skill in FMQ to save some of my quilting costs. But each time I work on the block, I think "really?" If I'm sending my quilt out to a LAQ, I'm helping somebody else make a living right? lol I could talk myself out of this sooooo easily! I'm still working on the 365 Challenge, but I only got to April 29th last year, so I'm ahead at the moment! Aaaannnnnnd last week I bought the templates etc to learn English Paper Piecing! Good thing my husband is a patient man and & knows how to cook!

ube quilting 02-19-2017 10:39 AM

Belfrybat, I can sympathize with having bronchitis. My mom suffered with this every winter for years. So uncomfortable and painful at times. Glad you are healing.

Northern Sue, you are so busy. I vacuumed the upstairs. Done for the day!:D

CarolinePaj 02-19-2017 11:27 AM

Loving the fabrics Sue.... such fabulous colours!

It looks like we are going to have a fabulous swap this time!

Hugs

Caroline

cricketlimes 03-01-2017 11:45 AM

Doesn't look like I'll be able to join you this time as I thought. Had a bit of medical set backs and it took away a bit of the time I was hoping to be quilting. Maybe next time. :-(

ube quilting 03-01-2017 01:38 PM

Get well cricket. Will look for you next time around.
peace

LenaBeena 03-02-2017 10:50 AM

Northern Sue, -25.6 degrees Fahrenheit is quite cold. Stay warm and out of the wind.

LenaBeena 03-02-2017 11:00 AM

I'm in for the table runner swap. I use runners on my rectangular dining room table all the time. May I do two?

ube quilting 03-02-2017 11:19 AM

Hi LenaBeena, welcome to the swap. PM Caroline and ask if it is okay to make two runners. Be sure to let her know before the deadline when you have a runner ready to send or you will miss the list of people ready to mail. The ready to mail list is what she goes by to assign swappers. Have fun and keep posting your progress.
peace
