Holy Smokes LenaBeena! lol That temperature in Fahrenheit is indeed wicked! In Canada, we use Celsius so our minus 27 degrees Celsius isn't quite minus 20 fahrenheit! However, whichever scale we use, it has been cold, cold COLD! I'm so hoping for an early spring!

ube quilting 03-03-2017 09:55 AM

Here in PA we went from 75 to 28 degrees. The frogs have all gone back to their muddy bed and I am tucked under , what else but a quilt.

peace

LenaBeena
this is the one we use in Australia too

Northern Sue 03-03-2017 05:09 PM

I've lost track of the original post so I can't remember what temp was posted by who lol. Minus 27degrees Fahrenheit is the same as minus 32.7 in Celsius. Minus 27 in Celsius is same as minus 16.6 Fahrenheit. I used the quick conversion in google! lol http://www.rapidtables.com/convert/t...fahrenheit.htm
Which now that I think about it, is same as you used?
I just want spring! We have a severe cold warning tonight - wind chill minus 37! Dogs don't even want to go out to P! lol

Heres another chart, or you can use the old formula if you like math :)

[h=1]Fahrenheit to Celsius formula[/h]Fahrenheit (°F) to Celsius (°C), how to convert & conversion table.
[h=2]How to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius[/h]The temperature T in degrees Celsius (°C) is equal to the temperature T in degrees Fahrenheit (°F) minus 32, times 5/9:
T[SUB](°C)[/SUB] = (T[SUB](°F)[/SUB] - 32) × 5/9
or
T[SUB](°C)[/SUB] = (T[SUB](°F)[/SUB] - 32) / (9/5)
or
T[SUB](°C)[/SUB] = (T[SUB](°F)[/SUB] - 32) / 1.8
[h=4]Example[/h]Convert 68 degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius:
T[SUB](°C)[/SUB] = (68°F - 32) × 5/9 = 20 °C

Pretty quiet on here lately. Everybody must be finishing up their runners. lol.

jaba 03-15-2017 01:16 PM

I almost forgot about this until today. I haven't been receiving any new post notices in my e-mail. I guess I forgot to subscribe:( Just sent in my info though, I'm ready to mail a new spring table runner.

ube quilting 03-16-2017 03:53 AM

So glad you caught up Jaba. There hasn't been any conversation going on for a while. I think most of us have been shoveling snow. My runner has been ready and waiting for spring.

Here in PA we are in a cold spell after the snow. A good time to stay tucked in the fabric stack.
peace

m-fay 03-16-2017 06:20 AM

I,Ve been checking in everyday, but haven't had anything to say. It's still summer here, though the really hot days seem to be over and it's very pleasant.

Northern Sue 03-16-2017 06:50 AM

I wondered where everyone was! lol I'm still in the frigid cold, but beautiful sunny day reflecting off the snow! Working on my runner - almost pieced, ready for quilting soon - it will be ready! Stay warm everyone!

Belfrybat 03-16-2017 08:40 AM

I'm here -- in sunny but very windy Texas. I finished the table runner early so am just hanging around waiting for the shipping info. Since I got bad sick in February, I am very thankful I finished early.

jaba 03-16-2017 12:40 PM

Looks nice QuilterMomma, I'm sure your partner will it. Waiting to get my Boom blocks back so I haven't started another quilt but I have made some more table runners.....heehee, I love them! Hope I can figure out my partner's favorite color and it will be great.
It was a little chilly here in Florida this morning but warmed up nicely. We'll be headed to Wyoming in about 2 1/2 weeks for the summer. I'll sure miss our little grand daughter, she is just crawling as of yesterday. Next October she'll be walking probably when we come back. Can't complain, it's has been heaven getting away from the snow and cold.

m-fay 03-16-2017 03:55 PM

Love your colours quilter mum a. I'll swap with you

ube quilting 03-17-2017 04:19 AM

Oh, that's a pretty one QuilterMomma. Great colors and pattern.

The swap is getting close to the finish, I'm excited.

m-fay 03-17-2017 04:07 PM

Me too! And looking fwd to the next one!

lawsonmugs 03-18-2017 08:16 AM

Beth that's beautiful. Happy national quilting day Ladies !!!! Everyday is quilting day to me lol. Oh maybe not quilting but sewing. Yesterday i made myself a pair of sleep shorts and a purse for my daughter. The purse needs the cromets and the cord and it will be done. It's a pattern i made up.

CarolinePaj 03-19-2017 01:52 AM

Hi Everyone,

Well it is getting to that time of the swap again... only a couple of weeks to go.

So far I have the following people on the ready to mail list..... now, if I have missed you off, please don't be upset, it is just me being forgetful and having a senior moment (becoming more and more frequent - LOL)...please let me know if you should be on the ready to mail as soon as you can.

I am so looking forward to seeing all the spring runners.

Hugs

Caroline

ube quilting 03-31-2017 10:14 AM

Anxious to get a name and see where spring is headed.

jaba 03-31-2017 11:34 AM

Me too ube! Now when I get a name I have to decide on what color to send, if she likes scrappy or not....hope her profile has favorite colors or some hints for me.

CarolinePaj 03-31-2017 01:50 PM

Okay Guys,

Just a few more hours and the sign ups will close.... I will then get the names out to you all by the end of the weekend..... I can't wait to see the beautiful runners for this round!

Hugs

Caroline

ube quilting 03-31-2017 05:26 PM

Jaba, isn't nice to go to a profile and get some nice information to use. So many of them are blank. I keep all my quilt pictures in albums for reference. It is a nice place to keep a history.

m-fay 04-01-2017 03:43 PM

I stitch name tags on my table runners so I can think about that person when I'm using it. I have Ube on my sideboard and young quilter on my table. love those runners.

jaba 04-01-2017 03:59 PM

m-fay, I ordered some name tags saying sewn by or made by and then my name. I try to remember to sew 1 on each piece that I swap. I ran out and just got a new supply :)
I was just checking to see if we had names yet so I could look at her profile and try to get a hint and then sew on the tag.....I don't have my name yet, maybe later.

m-fay 04-01-2017 08:46 PM

That's a good idea jaba because I haven't been signing the ones I do, just the received ones

CarolinePaj 04-02-2017 03:04 AM

Hi Guys,

Good morning (except Marion as it is afternoon in Australia - LOL) and I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday.

You should have all received the name of the person that you are sending to this morning.... if you have not received a name please contact me as soon as you can.

So, it is game on now... please remember you have 7 days from today to mail your runner, which means that you should have mailed by next Sunday.. as we are all ready to mail that should not be too hard! Please please please remember to let me know when you mail and receive. This is important as I need to ensure that everybody gets a runner so that this swap keeps going. Also, when you receive please post a picture and a thank you to your sender - it is just good manners to do so...

Now.... I will list the sign up for the next swap (April to June) very soon... but I would like you to give me some ideas of what you would like as a swap theme....... I know Marion suggested one last time, but I am getting old and have just plain forgotten what she suggested! Some ideas from me are.....

1. What Summer means to you?
2. Summer fun/Beach
3. 4th of July (if we do this we will also have an alternative for our international participants)
4. Brights -v- Pastels
5. Checks v Stripes
6. Summer Wildlife
