I've been working away at part 1 of my table runner. Almost ready to move on to the next bit.

I have a question for everyone! To be a "runner" the project is a rectangle of some dimensions. My question is this: are we limited to this definition? Can we make a project that is square, provided it meets the length dimension? eg. a table topper idea?

Personally would not mind a table topper, square, round, oblong, hexagon or any other shape you can come up with as long as the size looks good on a standard size dining/ kitchen table.:D

I second that idea! As long as it was a "center of the table" piece!

Thanks! Do I need "permission" to go rogue? lol I have a pattern I've wanted to try for awhile, just needed a boot in the butt to do it! This could be it! :)

I didn't think...I was doing mine as a sideboard runner, rather than a table one. what does everyone think. I still have time to do another.
