We may have 21 in this group, because darcyshannon spoke up before I closed it. I have not received her pm yet, tho. If she still wants to join, she may. She will be the last person in this swap, tho.

Set 5 done and in the bag. I really like this combo.

I like that too, Libster!

I once read that to have a successful scrappy quilt, one needs splashes of red and yellow throughout. Not too much to overpower it, just enough. So far this advice has never failed me. And I love yellow and red anyway!

Oh Libster, love the colors of the wildflowers in your blocks!

Yay Thanks for hosting this Sewbiz :)

Everyone is making great blocks so many terrific combinations the link to the setting possibilities is what pushed me off the fence and into the pool.

If it interests you, notice that this example is using 9patches made with 4 lights and 5 darks. I think that contributes to a pleasing effect.

I iron my seams towards the dark fabric. As I've been making some blocks, I prefer the feel and look of the block when it has the darker print in the middle. Because of the way I iron, the center piece lays above and over the seams, while with the lighter centers the center piece lays down under the seams that are on all four sides around it-- if you understand what I mean... Just a thought. :-)

I’ve been playing with scraps! Having fun. :). These four are representative of what I’ve got so far.

MonaG, why don't you make along with us? Just make each one different and you'll have the same amount to work with. Would love to see your work and finished quilt.
