We may have 21 in this group, because darcyshannon spoke up before I closed it. I have not received her pm yet, tho. If she still wants to join, she may. She will be the last person in this swap, tho.

Set 5 done and in the bag. I really like this combo.

I like that too, Libster!
I once read that to have a successful scrappy quilt, one needs splashes of red and yellow throughout. Not too much to overpower it, just enough. So far this advice has never failed me. And I love yellow and red anyway! |
Oh Libster, love the colors of the wildflowers in your blocks!

Yay Thanks for hosting this Sewbiz :)
Everyone is making great blocks so many terrific combinations the link to the setting possibilities is what pushed me off the fence and into the pool. |
If it interests you, notice that this example is using 9patches made with 4 lights and 5 darks. I think that contributes to a pleasing effect.
I iron my seams towards the dark fabric. As I've been making some blocks, I prefer the feel and look of the block when it has the darker print in the middle. Because of the way I iron, the center piece lays above and over the seams, while with the lighter centers the center piece lays down under the seams that are on all four sides around it-- if you understand what I mean... Just a thought. :-) |

I’ve been playing with scraps! Having fun. :). These four are representative of what I’ve got so far.
