Sewbizgirl, I’ve got about 2 dozen made and strips cut for another 20 or so. I anticipate being able to make the max of 8 full sets. But, I surely won’t be nearly as speedy as Moonrise. It’ll be at least a couple of weeks before I’m ready to ship. And yes, am having a grand time. Thank you. :)

Wow, I missed it. this swap did fill up fast.
I started sewing my nine patches yesterday. I had picked up a little solid fabric to go with the Kaffe Fasset fabrics. Well guess I will just have to stack them up for the next one or make a quilt for myself. Moonrise, you so speedy. Have fun everyone. Will pop in and visit the pretty blocks you make. |

Libster those are wonderful they make my eyes happy
So Have you ever heard the saying that all quilts need at least one ugly fabric to really make your quilt? well all I have to say is y'all are welcome now your quilts will be spectacular here is 3 more of my submissions The other saying I grew up hearing was if it's ugly cut it, if it's still ugly it's not small enough, you know that is not entirely wrong. I'm almost done for some reason I kept thinking I needed enough for 10 baggies so I have too many options pulled and now I have to make choices on which ones to make. |
Billi, don't forget Sewbiz said we can do this again, so if the fabric's pulled, go ahead and make them and be ahead of the game for next time. These will make great charity quilts. Heck, I can't even miss the fabric that I used for mine. I need to do this a whole lot more.

OK, I want clarification. I've seen some beautiful blocks that are (what I call) negative and positive settings of the same fabrics. When working with scraps, I got 6 negative and 4 positive blocks (see pix). Does this count at one set of 10, or is it just 6 of one and 4 of the other?

I like your blocks too, Evie. This is my last set for this go round. I thought at first that 80 blocks sounded like so much, they'd take forever to make. Well, all together, I've done about 1 days work and they're done!
Edited to say: I can't wait for the next round! Sewbiz,I think you've found yourself another job. |
