Yes, you did it correctly - you can see for yourself by going to COMMUNITY on the home page, then GROUPS, then the Quilting Bee Block swap - where you will find your the list of members who have joined. Also, if you go to your profile now, you will see the Quilting Bee listed as a Group you belong to. This is also a link to the Group.

You are in listed in the Group already - that may be why you can't find your invitation - you have already accepted.
Look in Your Profile and you should see it as a Group you belong to now.
